Rumors running rampant that they are going to stop the trains in NYC soon. I just can't imagine that but a week ago couldnt imagine a lot of stuff that has happened in the past 48 hours.
Official word is they are considering "scaling back" service i.e. running on a holiday schedule, which is totally asinine to me. If you are going to keep the trains running, why wouldn't you run full service to keep them as empty as possible in this situation?

Our design work should continue largely unimpeded. If the various agencies for which we work idle their non-essential employees for longer than a couple months, it could become problematic for me. It would cause new projects to take even longer than the typically glacial government procurement processes to be advertised and awarded which will cut into our backlog. That's obviously pretty low on the list of things people are dealing with because of the pandemic.
