What an absolute failure this whole war has been. Iran is going to be stronger because of it. They have little to lose and can just wait us out. If they control the strait of Hormuz because of this war, that makes this an even bigger failure. Maybe e should elect presidents that have some conniption of how geopolitics work. Macron is probably laughing his head off at Trump in between sobbing due to the lasting impact this whole thing will have for decades to come.

Ha, too true. The oil companies are winning in this no matter what. Oil prices will stay high for a while as the physical market needs to stabilize but even then a lot of companies may look to drill elsewhere to avoid the strait of Hormuz…which all means oil prices stay high.Originally posted by Northwestcoug View Post

Both sides have quite a few cards which is why Iran didn't cave. The US has more cards, but I think we will have to ante up and escalate with ground troops to force Iran to submit to our terms. Trump doesn't hold all the cards. Congress would need to be onboard as well.
