Hey, we are avenging the deaths of protestors by destroying their country's infrastructure.

                  • Reports are now saying the 82 Airborne may be deployed.

Pentagon Officials Weigh Deployment of Airborne Troops to Iran War

The combat forces would come from a brigade of about 3,000 soldiers capable of deploying anywhere in the world within 18 hours (Ready Brigade). Interesting to read that this brigade was also deployed to Ukraine in 2022.

Senior military officials are weighing a possible deployment of a combat brigade from the Army’s 82nd Airborne Division and some elements of the division’s headquarters staff to support U.S. military operations in Iran, defense officials said.

The officials described the military’s actions as prudent planning, noting that nothing had been ordered by the Pentagon or U.S. Central Command, which declined to comment.

The combat forces would come from the 82nd Airborne’s “Immediate Response Force,” a brigade of about 3,000 soldiers capable of deploying anywhere in the world within 18 hours. These forces could be used to seize Kharg Island, Iran’s main oil export hub.

Well, not actually TO Ukraine, but to Eastern Europe--I think mostly Poland.

Iran is saying there are no talks. This is likely a combination of things. A TACO, a stall tactic, and a way for insiders to make some money by insider trading. Someone sold a bunch of oil, and invested $1.5 billion in the S&P 5 minutes before the announcement.

This HAS to be investigated. 100% insider trading, and it hurts everyone else invested in the market.

I’m skeptical someone bought $1.5 billion in S&P futures in such a short amount of time. I’m also skeptical of someone offloading that volume in oil futures in such a short amount of time. Those markets are liquid but that’s a lot of contracts to trade in five minutes. Maybe I’m wrong, but I’m very skeptical.
