Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

Pakistan and China intervened. Trump claims victory, although Iran is going to be far, far richer on a daily basis thanks to the Hormuz Toll (Republicans bitched endlessly when Obame unfroze Iran's own assets to the tune of $1.8B. Now Iran will make that every 2 weeks, even after the split with Oman.)
US image and soft power takes the hit. China shows up as the reasonable country who can get things done.

I don't think this is over. We have another country not only aware of our bellicose tendencies but all this rhetoric around whipping out this civilization is going to ramifications. So much for the people of Iran taking over!
With the market way down this morning due to the pending erasure of an entire civilization, I'm guessing Trump's cronies are loading up on short-term call options in anticipation of Taco Tuesday and the announcement of a soon-to-be-reached great deal with the "new" regime.
Does everyone realize how much insight and wisdom it required for me to make the foregoing prediction early this morning? [Answer: The brainpower of a flatworm]. NASDAQ futures are currently up over 3%.

I'm sure that cool 2 mill per tanker will help with the gas prices...
"...you pointy-headed autopsy nerd. Do you think it's possible for you to post without using words like "hilarious," "absurd," "canard," and "truther"? Your bare assertions do not make it so. Maybe your reasoning is too stunted and your vocabulary is too limited to go without these epithets."

I am skeptical this is the end of the negotiations or if bombing will not return in 2-weeks. It would be an epic failure of gargantuan proportions if Trump allows for a toll to remain for Iran.

The reporting is that the toll was a workaround for Iran to rebuild what was destroyed in the last month. The epic failure would be Iran and Israel directly paying Iran reparations, at least optically. The toll idea sounds like something Trump would come up with, very tariff-esque. I doubt it's going away anytime soon. Likewise, a return to bombing would bring us right back to square one with the Strait. Do you think Trump wants that?

Looking at Iran's competing 10 conditions for ending the war, about half of them would represent major concessions that weren't in place before the war. One of them, Iran maintaining control of the Strait, would be nothing less than a complete failure that would continue to prop up the regime.
If that happens, let's game polymarket. 2 weeks comes with Iran demanding this and the US and other gulf states digging their heals in. That should lead to another genocide threat with an ultimatum in let's say 7days. So on the 20th day when the stock market is down and oil prices high again, we buy!

And.....the Strait is closed again. We should move up our next Armageddon threat by a week.
