This is why i have been throwing my vote away on third parties for a while. I either get to choose the party that facilitates insider trading to enrich the rich more through loopholes that they create for themselves, or the party that facilitates graft of federal funds by special interests, or the party that turned a blind eye to Epstein. It is like ordering off a menu that consists of shit sandwiches and turdburgers. Either way you are eating shit. not good.Originally posted by Moliere View Post
Gotcha and looks like the trades happened. It definitely should be investigated.
FYI, the SEC doesn’t and has never regulated commodity exchanges.
... also, the party that I am citing in either case is actually both parties. They both do/did this shit.

Iran Oil Revenue Soars as It’s the Only Exporter Out of Hormuz
I kind of wish DDD was around to make an irony ruling on this one. Trump starts a war, gas/oil prices skyrocket; Trump lifts temporary sanctions on Iranian oil to help with skyrocketing oil/gas prices; Iran ends up being the only exporter that can travel through the Strait of Hormuz effectively creating a regional monopoly on transporting oil. The sold oil is probably helping keeping Iran weapons production going at a strong pace."Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

The mortgage rate has increased 4 times since the war began? Isn't that a lot? I'm asking since I have no idea how often they rise/fall."...you pointy-headed autopsy nerd. Do you think it's possible for you to post without using words like "hilarious," "absurd," "canard," and "truther"? Your bare assertions do not make it so. Don’t they rise and fall all day everyday? There isn’t like one mortgage rate but maybe there is some benchmark rate used as a proxy for the average rate? I honestly don’t know.Originally posted by Northwestcoug View PostThe mortgage rate has increased 4 times since the war began? Isn't that a lot? The Houthis have entered the chat. Fired missiles at Israel this am marking their first action in the war. Nothing on the Red Sea yet, but they certainly possess the ability to exacerbate the Strait of Hormuz closing by making the Red Sea a dangerous affair at Bab-el-Mandeb.

I'm sorry, I think Marco is confused. He's referring to the current war, the one which his boss has declared already won by the US.
Is Iran being able to recoup financial losses and maintaining a stranglehold on the Strait ofTrumpHormuz what winning looks like?
https://www.ft.com/content/4f095d4b-...syn-25a6b1a6=1Rubio acknowledged that Tehran might continue to hold a stranglehold over the Strait of Hormuz, the strategic waterway through which a fifth of the world’s oil is transported. “One of the immediate challenges we’re going to face is an Iran that may decide that they want to set up a tolling system in the Strait of Hormuz,” he said. That scenario is “dangerous to the world, and it’s important that the world have a plan to confront it,” Rubio added. In the four weeks since the US and Israel launched their offensive, shipping through the waterway has dropped by 97 per cent, compared with the same period preceding the war, according to S&P Global. Only 32 tankers have made the journey, against 1,743 in the previous time period."...you pointy-headed autopsy nerd. Trump keeps saying oil prices don't affect the U.S. (here's a video filled with embarrassingly adolescent tough guy talk, idiotic declarations, and his usual hyperbole). Conservative historian Niall Ferguson writes compellingly that oil shocks like the one Trump has caused usually lead to global recessions. I think the only thing that spares us from that is a deus ex machina civilian uprising, and that has to happen tout suite.

Gotta ask - when Russia lost their A-50 AWACS, pulled them back, and then lost one to drones smuggled in by semi, we thought it was awesome that their strategic abilities were being degraded by hubris and Ukrainian daring. It was a reminder that really important aircraft were not invulnerable.
So why did we park an E-3 Sentry within range of Iran?

Well. Of course Spain is not interested in getting involved. Why would they want missiles lobbed in their country..
