To say that TDS does not exist implies that there is no irrational, unhinged thinking on the left. That is demonstrably false.
And as you know, I can't stand Trump.

Trump Derangement Syndrome is a bullshit term used to dismiss criticisms of Trump. If you're looking for obsessive fixation on Trump, look no further than his increasingly common 5th Ave. voters. The folks that embrace the narrative that the country's intelligence apparatus conspired, in the dark, blabber on about the malicious mainstream media.
When is the last time you offered unqualified criticism of Trump? Beyond the usual, "he's an idiot," or, "he's uncouth" ?
So unless someone has recently offered unqualified criticism of trump (and it must be specific and substantive, no broadsides like "he is a moron" count) then they cannot, according to you, offer any meaningful insight into a trump-related topic? Sure, that sounds reasonable.
Let me offer my own absolutist observation: If you contend that TDS is non-existent or not even possible, you almost certainly suffer from it.

I didn't say there is no irrational thinking by those on the left. It's not used to address fanatics, but to shutdown criticism. TDS is used as such a copout, especially by those who buy into conspiratorial "deep state," rubbish.
I just read that guy was the leader of the Quds Force. He was a bigwig.
This is just like the plot of a Mitch Rapp book I just read! Amirite YO?
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

Spot on.

Upon rejecting the Beatles, Dick Rowe told Brian Epstein of the January 1, 1962 audition for Decca, which signed Brian Poole and the Tremeloes instead.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”
Trump Told Mar-a-Lago Pals to Expect ‘Big’ Iran Action ‘Soon’
According to three people who’ve been at the president’s Palm Beach club over the past several days, Trump began telling friends and allies hanging at his perennial vacation getaway that he was working on a “big” response to the Iranian regime that they would be hearing or reading about very “soon.” His comments went beyond the New Year’s Eve tweet he sent out warning of the “big price” Iran would pay for damage to U.S. facilities. Two of these sources tell The Daily Beast that the president specifically mentioned he’d been in close contact with his top national security and military advisers on gaming out options for an aggressive action that could quickly materialize.
“He kept saying, ‘You’ll see,’” one of the sources recalled, describing a conversation with Trump days before Thursday’s strike.
Trump’s gossipy whispers regarding a “big” response in Iraq foreshadowed what was to come. After hours of silence, senior officials in the Trump administration argued that what had taken place in Iraq was not an act of aggression. Instead, they said both publicly and behind closed doors on the Hill that killing Qassem Soleimani was designed to “advance the cause of peace,” as U.S. Special Envoy for Iran Brian Hook put it in a Friday interview.
Those Mar-a-Lago guests received more warning about Thursday’s attack than Senate staff did, and about as much clarity. A classified briefing on Friday, the first the administration gave to the Hill, featured broad claims about what the Iranians were planning and little evidence of planning to bring about the “de-escalation” the administration says it wants.
The more I read and learn about the situation, the more I think this type of aggressive action is warranted and is about 16 years behind too late. We p
should have sent a very strong message a long time ago that Iran's proxy wars are unacceptable.
If/when Iran retaliates, we have to be prepared to respond disproportionately. Force them to stand down.

Indeed. Trump is a terrible messenger but the message is correct.
Thomas Friedman hates Trump, and he's no Israel hawk. But despite the ironic title of this column (probably because he writes for the Times), it actually supports the killing.

That's a good read. He highlights things that are glossed over in the mainstream media.
Back in '03, I remember thinking what a waste Saddam had made of Iraq. He spent all their wealth on pursuing a war with Iran, and then Kuwait. If he would have invested in infrastructure and education, how much more better off would his people be!
