Trump's got plans to use the military domestically. Fascism plain and simple. There is not existential threat to the Republic due to immigration, but MAGA is an existential threat.

A Department of Homeland Security memo obtained by TNR signals top-level discussions about a potential escalation of the Pentagon’s domestic anti-immigration role, and lays out new details.

Here's a good immigration reform bill. It won't pass with the current congress or president. Hopefully someday.

The new legislation would increase the ability of Dreamers and other groups to get permanent residency.

I saw those reports and checked the National Archive page and section one was still whole, so didn't think much of it. But this is the country in which we live now.
        Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

I don't see anything objectionable there.

Yeah, it would be a massive improvement but MAGA will hate it.

Two grand jury subpoenas were issued by the US attorney’s office for the Northern District of New York seeking information about James’ investigations into the Trump Organization and National Rifle Association, the sources said.

A grand jury investigation into James has also convened in Albany, New York, according to a source familiar. The grand jury probe into James is said to be looking into deprivation of rights, which means violating someone’s constitutional rights, against Trump.

Most Republicans don't want immigration reform. Immigration is too important to them to try to get votes, so they will continue to leave it alone.

It is the same with Democrats and abortion.

RFK Jr. is potentially the most dangerous person in the Trump administration. In cancelling grants for mRNA vaccines he complains that they don't work when a virus gets a point mutation, yet he fundamentally misunderstands that's the strength of mRNA technology; that you can quickly address when viruses mutate! He then spews this pie in the sky nonsense:

Congrats GOP senators (looking at you in particular Dr. Cassidy), you allowed a quack control of one of the most important departments in the government. And now we'll play catchup to vaccine technology to the rest of the world when he's gone. Not to mention reteaching millions of citizens what we thought was common knowledge about treating infectious diseases for the last century.
"...you pointy-headed autopsy nerd. Do you think it's possible for you to post without using words like "hilarious," "absurd," "canard," and "truther"? Your bare assertions do not make it so. Maybe your reasoning is too stunted and your vocabulary is too limited to go without these epithets."

Something something Fauci was evil because he made rednecks where little paper masks.

The rights abdication of opinion leadership to podcasts bros like the often stoned Joe Rogan, and other assorted characters has been such a downfall.

RFK Jr should never have been treated as anything close to qualified.

His yoga mom suggestions like raw milk are already making people sick. Cutting back on food inspectors, also awesome.

Trump meets with Putin next to get his marching orders. I wonder if we will see Trump's actions or words change around certain issues after that?

I want to thank the US Supreme Court for making this mockery of our representative democracy possible.

Of course that is what will happen.
