Dude, my comment was part troll job but part serious. The election just finished but the poitical whining was increased. In those instances it's good policy to take your L and shut up for a bit, lick some wounds, and let those who won enjoy the victory for a bit. You're a former athlete and should understand the concpet. Have you ever wondered why some of the ol' CUF stalwarts never come around anymore? Part of it is because this site has become far more of a politcal echo chamber. There's simply not much room for dissent.Originally posted by Donuthtakole View Post
I know you think the "take the L and chill" comment was a real spike the football moment for you. And in a way, it very much was. But eventually you'll realize you were all turned around, and you ran it into the wrong end zone. Don't worry, man. We'll be here for you when you figure it out.
So yes, I'll take my W and joke about it on occasion. I'll also joke about you taking your L. Take a couple of deep breaths and deal with it.
For the record I haven't been happy all the time with Trump. However, he's doing what he got elected to do.

Explicitly politicizing the military. At this point, we should expect no less from Trump, but eyebrow-raising when soldiers are doing it out in the open:
https://www.military.com/daily-news/...ppearance.htmlService officials declined to comment when asked about the extent to which troops were screened, whether soldiers displaying partisan cheers on television -- a violation of long-standing Pentagon rules -- would be disciplined or if soldiers who objected to participating in the event, citing disagreements with the administration, would be disciplined or admonished in any way.
"This has been a bad week for the Army for anyone who cares about us being a neutral institution," one commander at Fort Bragg told Military.com on the condition of anonymity to avoid retaliation. "This was shameful. I don't expect anything to come out of it, but I hope maybe we can learn from it long term."
Adding to the spectacle, a pop-up shop operated by 365 Campaign, a Tulsa, Oklahoma-based retailer that sells pro-Trump and other conservative-coded memorabilia, was set up on-site with campaign-style merchandise on Army property. Soldiers were seen purchasing clothing and tchotchkes, including "Make America Great Again" chain necklaces to faux credit cards labeled "White Privilege Card: Trumps Everything."
Permitting the sale of overtly partisan merchandise on an Army base likely runs afoul of numerous Defense Department regulations aimed at preserving the military's long-standing commitment to political neutrality. The Army has historically gone to great lengths to avoid even the appearance of partisanship."...you pointy-headed autopsy nerd. Do you think it's possible for you to post without using words like "hilarious," "absurd," "canard," and "truther"? Your bare assertions do not make it so. Maybe your reasoning is too stunted and your vocabulary is too limited to go without these epithets."

I hope that your AI search (seems like you are engaged!) indicated that Obama served 8 years, and Trump has only "served" 4.333 years. So maybe direct comparisons require a little nuance.Originally posted by wally View PostHonest question: I have read that Obama deported a lot of people. Maybe more than Trump. I assume that the big difference is the way Trump is going about it with the pomp and flare coupled with a much less discriminate approach? I am naive on this matter and my ai summary seems lacking. In total numbers, ai tells me Obama deported 3.2 M and Trump has only done about 1.2 M. part of me wonders if Trump wants to be able to brag that "nobody deported more than me" and that is why his approach is more aggressive.

What have you been happy with? I'm indifferent as to a few things, I suppose, but he has brought me zero happiness. And I agree he's doing what he said he was going to do, and without the guardrails that were in place in his first term he's delivering on his promises/threats better than he did his first term, although that is not a good thing.Originally posted by Shaka View Post...

But what I feel you are missing is that he was elected to break the consitution, and to change it so that he breaking of the constitution is okay. The Constitution is holding Trump back. He needs to be able to MAGA without interruption. The liberal woke lunatic left hast been the only thing preventing him from MAGA.Originally posted by PaloAltoCougar View Post

I'm fine with Doge and I'm fine with him addressing immigration. However, with both I think he could do a lot better on the bedside manner.Originally posted by PaloAltoCougar View Post
