There are some fairly wasteful and outright partisan things being funded according to some reports. Knowing the little I do, it seems like DOGE's actions are extreme and purposefully performative. But an audit and accounting seems to be needed.
I need more information as well. I think Trump and the DOGE folks have been working on this for months and have a good idea of what was going on in the targeted agencies.

If you want some insight into the spirit of project 2025 and how they intend to treat their ideological adversaries. Look into the book "Unhumans," by Jack Posebiac. Posebiec was an organizer with that awful fascist rally in Charlottesville. He is someone who hasn't shunned being called a white nationalist.
JD Vance wrote the foreword to that book.

The title is disgusting. It speaks of doxxing, shamming, cyber-bullying, and lawfare against vile liberals.
So project 2025 is basically whatever you want it to be. Got it. I’d something odds not in project 2025 then it is at least in the spirit of the project

      • Hey, if all of this is unconstitutional, why aren’t the dems filing lawsuits? It seems all they are doing is protesting and gnashing their teeth.

        • Personal opinion: Getting a handle on the deficit would require something drastic like DOGE. It's a ballsy move by The Donald. Right now it seems like DOGE is wielding a chainsaw but I'm not sure that isn't what we need.

I'll be looking forward to a complete list of malfeasance rather than tweets.

I too know people who work for USAID. I'm sure a vast majority of those with feet on the ground are honorable citizens and I'm sorry they might lose their jobs. However, the existence of good people doesn't mean there wasn't corruption and waste. Welcome to life in the real world. Many of us have lost a job or two to downsizing.

Yes. Trump surrounds himself with people who can get the necessary information. Just like any other president he's briefed on this stuff daily.

Really dude? It's like you don't read my posts before your respond snarkily. Disagree with me, but maybe consider what I'm saying. The MAGA skeptical "sky is falling," voices like myself have more right about this administration than the all things are normal crowd.

Some of things in project 2025 have happened and are happening like culling the public workforce and awful immigration policies.

well, trump skips briefings, doesnt understand anything and would forget within 1 min anyways. There is no strategy behind any of this from trumps side.

Slashing spending is great but it should be done Constitutionally. Congress is who allocates funding or takes it away. But obviously many in the US want a dictator. Have fun with that.

How do you know they aren't bringing legal action? Why criticize the democrats right now?

Are you serious? There are lots of lawsuits being filed. The spending freeze has already been blocked by two different judges, as has the move to eliminate birthright citizenship. The unions that represent federal workers either have already or plan to bring suits as well from what I've read.

You're joking, right? At the moment there are 35 filed lawsuits. There's also the suit filed today by the AFL-CIO about Musk's access to the Dept, of Labor. I also heard rumors of a banana on the Senate steps...

EDIT: With his little stunt today, I expect a suit will be brought by the LA Olympics Committee. Hard to tell how long they'd wait, though.

Which party opened the EO can of worms? For consistency, what are your feelings towards FDR, Truman, Reagan Clinton, and Obama all of whom issued far more EO's that The Donald.
