    • One would think that a pardon should only be extended if the convict has expressed remorse. I was listening to the comments of some Jan 6 convicts who were violent and threatened bodily harm to Pelosi, McConnell, and others, and they had no regrets. These pardons will embolden the violent wing of MAGA. It's especially bothersome that these idiots and some Fox commentators call themselves patriots.

Oh yeah. You have to remove the pressure reducers first thing. I also learned how to adjust the pressure at the point where the city water comes into my house. A city employee taught me how to do it. Game changer.

I also found that I have to periodically clean the sand filter where I connect my shower head. But my shower pressure is glorious now. I can shower in no time.

        • Getting rid of the EEOC and rolling back civil rights acts protections. Another great well-intended move that will make the country great!

What Trump tweeted when a MAGA conspiracy theory guy attacked her husband with a hammer was vile.

However, there is no way in hell that monster deserves a pardon. Even the people pushing for clemency for him were asking for his sentence to be commuted. It is disgusting that he is now walking around as not just a free man, but a man without a conviction.
I'm curious about this assessment. What makes him a monster?

Yeah, aren't these local regulations over which the Federal Government has no jurisdiction? The real bad guys are those water resource engineers out there.

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

The 1500 pardons for the J6 defendants is effing unprecedented. I'd challenge anyone to find that level of pardons at anytime. I have seen mass commuting of sentences, but nothing near 1500+ pardons. The pardons included the Q'Anon Shaman, who if you read his own affidavit supporting his plea did some pretty awful stuff. His response to his pardon was he is going to "buy some motha fuckin’ guns." Sorry, I don't feel better knowing that he now gets some guns.
We knew this was coming but it is really unfortunate how our last 2 Chief Executives are systematically destroying the legitimacy of rule of law. I can't decide if I think this is worse than what his efforts to have the GA LT Gov find votes for him after the 2020 election. This disaster has recency bias but on the other hand I had time to process this as he was clear it was coming.

We are not a serious people anymore and our politics are looking more and more like 3rd world where might makes right and the goal is just to get your gang stronger to impose your will on your opponent.

The Energy Policy Act of 1992 sets national efficiency standards for the maximum water flow allowed. These aren't the result of rulemaking; the 2.5 gpm limit is literally written in the federal law.

So are we okay with Trump overturning by himself a law that was passed by Congress and signed into law by a previous president?

Thank you for the clarification. I don't understand how a president can overturn a federal law with an executive order, unless it is somehow limited in scope to facilities operated by the executive branch. Seems like overreach by the executive which will be challenged in courts and overturned. Maybe that's the strategy, to try to win in the courts what they can't win at the ballot box and legislation through hard work.

I think the whole creating a website for the sole purpose of facilitating illegal activity including dealing drugs, murder for hire, etc. for your own financial gain is what makes him a monster. Also, the whole fact that he attempted to hire people to kill people.

How did you view his case? I always found it weird that libertarian globbed onto him as a cause celeb

I really want to see all the GOP who rah-rah'd Trump's rants about capital punishment for drug dealers choke on this. Here you have a guy who quite literally made it easier for people to die on drugs, and not only does Trump not let him stay in prison but completely pardons him. You can bet one of his tech bro friends whispered in his ear to pardon him, to shore up his libertarian base. The guy absolutely has no morality.

Now if anyone wants to argue that a life sentence without parole is too much for this, I'm listening.
"...you pointy-headed autopsy nerd. Do you think it's possible for you to post without using words like "hilarious," "absurd," "canard," and "truther"? Your bare assertions do not make it so. Maybe your reasoning is too stunted and your vocabulary is too limited to go without these epithets."

                              • Here we go. Judge already blocks Trump's EO on removing birthright citizenship. Justice Thomas, here's your cue to start writing.

"I have been on the bench for over four decades," said Judge Coughenour, who was nominated to the bench by President Ronald Reagan in 1981. "I can't remember another case where the question presented is as clear as it is here. This is a blatantly unconstitutional order."
