  • Mullin would be in jail were it not for his wife?

What kind of people are we electing as senators?
"...you pointy-headed autopsy nerd. Do you think it's possible for you to post without using words like "hilarious," "absurd," "canard," and "truther"? Your bare assertions do not make it so. Maybe your reasoning is too stunted and your vocabulary is too limited to go without these epithets."

    • I always love the gotcha game. Glad to see the Dems do it as much as the Repubs.
"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

Yet another reminder why one of his professors at the Wharton business school said Trump was the dumbest student he ever had. As he charges "those who make money off of us with Trade", I wonder if there are any countries out there who believe the U.S. has made money of of them, and will thus impose their own set of tariffs. You can re-set your calendars to 1930.

              • Any time I hear a politician talk about making others “pay their fair share” I want to vomit. That phrase probably comes from the left a little more than the right but both sides use it.

I think I just hate the word “fair” in general. Probably from all the times a kid whined, “It’s not fair”.

                • Sounds like a great idea! I like the idea of not paying taxes and having other countries fund the government. Maybe we’ll finally get free, universal health care!

                  • For news while I’m driving I listen to either CNN, Fox, MSNBC, or NPR as I like variety. An hour ago within the space of five minutes Fox treated me to an ad for Trump Inauguration Sneakers in which he assures us the quantity is limited and we must act now, followed immediately by Laura Ingraham telling us how thrilled she is that “the insanity of the Biden/Harris administration” will end in five days and sanity will return. She then ripped on Harris for being a sore loser by not following custom and inviting JD Vance to the VP residence.

I was trying to find any other examples of a sore loser following a presidential election, but decided instead to be grateful that dignity will at last be restored to the White House.

I also like the idea of grocery prices in a few more weeks suddenly going down to where they were a couple of years ago like my maga brother in law believes. It will be at least interesting to observe how this goes down among his supporters when it doesn't materialize.

                      • Gentle reminder that Richard effing Nixon didn't kick up a fuss about the flag being at half mast for his second Inauguration in memorial of Truman, who died December 26.

                        • So Maduro is threatening to invade Puerto Rico and their governor has asked for Trump to take a strong public stand, but he hasn't said anything yet as far as I know.

The one time it might be helpful for him to shit talk he is quiet.

Big Powerful Men like to threaten to invade other countries. Other Big Powerful Men understand that. It's just how Big Powerful Men operate. Plus, it's not like Big Powerful Trump would lose anything by giving Puerto Rico to Big Powerful Man Maduro. His supporters don't care about Puerto Rico and think Puerto Ricans in the US should be deported.

                              Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."
