    Yes, it complicates things. What about Trump isn't complicated? But nothing legally prevents the DOJ from pursing charges against candidate Trump. He would certainly make political hay out of such a prosecution, but I suspect the shine is coming off his star and that would not be as effective as it might have been in the past, even with some repubs who are likely to start trending toward wanting to avoid all the complications and drama that Trump brings.

    Sadly, even if he is indicted, we won't get to see that perp walk.

        That's a nice response. If he can carry the right tone, he might be able to pull this off. Don't get down in the mud with Trump. Makes it easier for people to switch allegiances.

            Desantis' biggest obstacle to being president is his height. He is only 5'9". Now I think that is the best height in the world but apparently you need to be tall AND have an attractive wife to become president.

                          I am confident such a podium would be level and stable. But maybe the problem with stability isn't from the podium. Maybe the land in Florida is unstable.

                              Easy response: "I was a Trump defender until he chose an indefensible path. The Constitution and rule of law is what I defend and will continue to defend."

                              That said, I am sure other gotcha quotes can and will be dug up for all candidates in 2024. Let me know the date of the primary and I will start to focus on making a decision between those have not yet dropped out at that point. Until then I will sit back with my popcorn and enjoy the show. Maybe I'll run for state AG in 24 if I am bored.

                                He is smart and he probably does that. It is still funny to watch though and that ad was just awful. So much awful.
