The photo-op he chose was to defiantly take off his mask, shove it in his pocket and proclaim that we shouldn't worry about covid. That's his message. What a colossal piece of shit, as if he didn't already have enough blood on his hands.Last edited by Non Sequitur; 10-06-2020, 02:39 AM."The mind is not a boomerang. I read the article first and it seemed so slanted...until I watched the clip and saw more clips on Twitter. I have to say, I agree with you. The Trump campaign seems to running with the “Trump survived Covid and that gives him more credibility in fighting it, oh and don’t worry it’s not that bad” spin, which is not just stupid, it’s downright offensive to anyone that died unnecessarily. I hole he gets destroyed in the election.Originally posted by Non Sequitur View Posthttps://www.cnn.com/2020/10/06/polit...den/index.html

He started his victory lap prematurely. The timeline for most hospitalizations are about 10 to 14 days after symptom onset. Best I can tell, that would be over the coming weekend to next Wednesday.
The dexamethasone wouldn't benefit him this early in the course. Remdesivir may and the experimental Regeneron drug may as well, but there isn't any study showing anything about that class of medication to date."The first thing I learned upon becoming a head coach after fifteen years as an assistant was the enormous difference between making a suggestion and making a decision."

what are the odds that (1) he's sicker now than he's letting on, and (2) his condition takes a negative turn in the next couple of weeks?Originally posted by Jarid in Cedar View PostHe started his victory lap prematurely. I think you can take some clues on that by how his doctor answered and didn't answer questions at the press conference in front of the hospital yesterday. He cited HIPAA on every question he didn't want to answer but had no problem (apparently) violating HIPAA to answer questions that gave things a positive spin or outlook. The truth about HIPAA is that the patient always has 100% right to disclose what they want, so it doesn't take a genius to deduce that his doctor was just saying what Trump wanted him to say or not say. Given this, I think there is a pretty decent chance he is sicker than he is letting on and it could still take a turn for the worse. No one disagrees that Trump is still contagious right now, and that is blatantly irresponsible of him to have left the hospital right now. I feel especially for the lower level non-political employees at the White House. You couldn't pay me enough to be one of those people right now and potentially bring the disease home to my family. A doctor or nurse accepts that risk. A chef, housekeeping or maintenance person or dozens of others like them, no thanks.Originally posted by old_gregg View Postwhat are the odds that (1) he's sicker now than he's letting on, and (2) his condition takes a negative turn in the next couple of weeks?
Also, their refusal to give details around the testing timeline with Trump is a little concerning. How long did he know he had the virus, or how long did it take after knowing others around him had it before he got tested? There are lots of questions around those points that the WH is refusing to talk about. There seem to be few reasons to be cagey about those details if there weren't some bad decisions to cover up.Last edited by BlueK; 10-06-2020, 10:02 AM.

I’m not sure him being unhealthy but also healthier than he’s been in 20 years can’t both be trueOriginally posted by BlueK View PostHe did not look healthy despite saying he feels better than he has in 20 years. Liar.
I’m
he takes a turn for the worse and gets readmitted to the hospital and misses the rest of the campaign only to watch himself lose bigly from the hospital bed.

It is hard to say if he is sicker than he let on. I will say that in the pictures and videos I have seen, he does not look well. And all of the fake tan in the world can't hide it.Originally posted by old_gregg View Postwhat are the odds that (1) he's sicker now than he's letting on, and (2) his condition takes a negative turn in the next couple of weeks?
The second question is a bit easier, but depends on timeline. If his illness actually started within 36 hour of his positive test, it is very likely that he will decline at some point; statistically it would happen over the coming weekend. How far the decline and to what degree? Harder to say. The remdesivir and antibody therapy he received could blunt the peak symptoms. The one thing I look at as a poor prognostic sign is that he required oxygen within the first 4 days of illness. Even those who get sick enough to require ventilator support are rarely hypoxic until 10-14 days into the course.
All of this is dependent on an accurate timeline. If he was sick for a week prior to getting tested, then his disease course would be more mild. But that little change in timeline would open an entire other can of worms."The first thing I learned upon becoming a head coach after fifteen years as an assistant was the enormous difference between making a suggestion and making a decision."
