I very well might care. I think it is worth investigating. But the media has lost its bearings on BOTH sides. I was listening to CNN today and blitzer and some others were listening to trump's speech from yesterday and they were being incredibly stupid about what was and what was an inaccuracy. It was like they had never heard a political rally speech before. And we are barraged with stories about russia this and russia that and teased with suggestions that there really is a smoking gun if we just use better sources but, you know what? I havent seen a smoking gun. Now if it is there, and I am pretty sure we will find out, then it will likely matter a lot. But in the mean time we should really get on with governing the country (and that applies to Trump, too, who cant seem to leave it alone) and stop wallowing in half-baked and unproven theories abotu foreign interference like a drunk trying to pretend his latest disaster didnt happen and it wasnt his fault.

Trump is a buffoon. I hate it every time I see him representing the country. That said, he won the election and I udnerstand why so may people voted for him. And all the wishifying about russia will not change that. If we worried more about what the country needs rather than how he won, we would all be a lot better off.

It's very unusual for a president who was recently elected to be touring the country and doing political rallies. The media doesn't break down into neat left right sections. The mainstream has proven to be more consistently accurate. The Washington Post is not on par with Sean Hannity. You can call me patronizing for asking where someone goes to inform their opinion of current events but that label applies to you as well. I take a lot of flack here because I'm one of the few progressives who posts in this thread, and that's fine I'm confident in position and feel justified being alarmed.
I can't help but wonder if Trump were to fire Mueller if anyone's opinion would change. This Russia scandal dwarfs Hillary email storage scandal. What started Shaka and others criticizing me was my stating Trump's temperament and complete lack of diplomacy could get us into a war with North Korea. I presented links where Trump informed others he thinks such a war is inevitable. I'll admit the obvious, at this point I feel confident there was some coordination or collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russian state. I'm not open minded when I read right wing media and parroted talking points from certain posters, but I don't find you to be open minded either. You are willing to get into mental yoga poses to give Trump the benefit of the doubt. I believe his interactions with Russia deserve extreme scrutiny. When he signed that bill he wasn't upset about how it impacted North Korea or Iran. He called the bill unconstitutional and signed it. That's not rational. He was worried about Russia. He seems to have criticized just about every ally and rival alike, with the exception of Russia.

Miller is better than that Scaramucci guy but I guess that is saying very little. It's no secret Trump sucks at running companies. Mitt tried to warn us of the very thing most people knew.

I'll admit that I loved the term "cosmopolitan bias" and think it fits very well with many of the left wingers.

Really? I thought it was supremely untrue, having nothing to do with the subject while solely used to take a jab at the NY Times. How does asserting that mainly immigrants from the UK, NZ, etc speak English demonstrate any kind of 'cosmopolitan bias,' or more importantly, pose an insult to anybody? Only a Nativist asshat thinks English should be a requirement to come to the U.S. when we don't have an official language-- especially in the context of a merit-based employment visa system. Who gives AF what language a potential employee of a U.S. company speaks? What business is that of the Dept. of State?

Furthermore, how many immigrants does Miller personally know from non-English speaking countries that came to this country fresh off the boat with a mastery of English? I'm guessing f*king zero. Of course an English bonus in a points-based system constitutes racial engineering. Miller's just mad that somebody brought it up so fast.

Yes. And now they're proposing to issue these employment visas according to criteria not specified/requested by the employers and that will serve to stem brown immigration. Imagine you want to bring in your employee of choice and the government denies your application b/c he doesn't meet the English criteria. Again- why does the government have a right to veto whom you choose to hire based on things that don't matter/ are not issues of national security? This is not about vetting terrorists. It's about Making America White Again. And this is under the guise that this will help American businesses? GTFOH.
