The best thing I can offer for Trump today: I rejoice on the rare occasions when he mentions an adversary without a negative modifier (e.g., "the failing," "low-ratings," "little," "crooked," "lyin'," etc.). It's happened a few times, I'm pretty sure.

I also believe that Trump did not knowingly collude with the Russians. And yet he's probably doing more than any one in the world to serve the Russian objective of undermining national and international faith in the U.S., its political system and the media that serve as a vital check on that system.

You can be blissfully ignorant of the damage caused by ignoring all of his tweets. I have turned a deaf ear to the man. It reminds me of the golf pro that encouraged me to ignore watching bad swings so that I wouldn't have the image etched within my mind. I have no desire to read his poorly constructed, ill-conceived bullshit.

The tweets are worse than pretty bad. They are horrible and embarrassing. And they are so petty as to strain credulity. And I think PAC is right; Trump's personality is undermining the aspects of his program that might have some merit.

I may not be the smartest guy in the room, but watch Frontline's Bannon's War and maybe my post won't seem so inconceivable.

And allow me to reword my post a bit to perhaps better convey what I meant: Bannon is the type to take advantage of Trump being Trump as he tweets and says stuff that stir up a media circus (not saying that tweeting about Mika was a calculated plan). Most of what is in the news is about what Trump tweets or says, Russia, etc. Nobody is talking about the Obama executive orders that are getting rolled back. Stuff is getting done behind the scenes. Most people are watching the right hand while the left hand is doing more than you notice. I just think Bannon may be taking advantage of all of these distractions.

Not necessarily. I believe we are witnessing the subconscious reflex of a libertarian, who has to justify his 'neutrality' by insulting both parties on.every.single.issue.that.comes.up.for.discussion . It's in his DNA. He is powerless to stop it.
