So Trump asked the Supreme Court to stay the DC appeals court's rejection of his absolute immunity claim. SCOTUS has now given the prosecution a week to respond. It would take 5 justices voting to grant the stay. I don't see that happening given how thorough the appeals court's unanimous decision was and how absurd and frivolous Trump's argument is. Hopefully this kills it and the schedule resumes.Comment

I like this picture of Trump a lot, for two reasons.
1. He looks like Satan from the temple video, looking out on the great day of his power, and
2. He's going to have to start rubbing orange makeup into his hair on the sides. The contrast isn't looking good.
