              The early critics of Ukraine and supporters of Putin, led by Trump, have been hilarious as they've changed their tune after being surprised by the nearly universal support for Zelensky and Ukraine. Dopes. In the beginning, Trump said the war was "genius" and that his friend Putin was "brilliant." Ever the savvy business mogul whose sense of timing is impeccable (see, e.g., Trump Mortgage, Trump Airlines, etc.), Trump observed less than two weeks ago,“I mean, he’s taking over a country for two dollars’ worth of sanctions. I’d say that’s pretty smart.” Now he's saying stuff about this being a holocaust.

              I think this photo, photoshopped thought it may be..., is one of my favorites.

                        Yeah, he has turned the repub establishment into a bunch of adolescent buffoons. Big contributors and they are all laughing at this turd. This and his riff on KJU in NKorea and the laughing responses are grotesque as he is using two horrible human tragedies for his personal amusement. And they all laugh. It's sick.

                          As you note, it's a stupid joke, of the quality and type only Trump can deliver, and it also reveals his ignorance. This is a guy who knew virtually nothing about the armed forces and defense as a candidate (I enjoyed his being stumped by the term "nuclear triad," a term I learned in the '60s, and giving his typical unprepared schoolboy answer), and still knows surprisingly little. Hence his choice of an aircraft that's essentially incapable of bombing Moscow.

                          It's a slow afternoon, so I went back and watched his b.s. response on the nuclear triad, which Marco Rubio gleefully answered after Trump had run out of b.s.

                              People throw the word horrific around quite a bit these days. I prefer any number of alternatives such as:

                              shameful
                              disgraceful
                              sordid
                              contemptible
                              execrable

                                This is the shame of it. I don't know what the world will look like in 2024, but I am certain that if Trump runs in 2024, he will not be held accountable by those in his party for his coziness with Vladimir Putin. The GOP will once again laugh off the "Putin's invasion was genius" remark as mere locker room talk.
