    • Well, how about that... Biden now applauds Drumpf's handling of the Wuhan Coronavirus crisis:

Wow: Biden Changes His Tune and Applauds Trump's Wuhan Coronavirus Leadership

Former Vice President Joe Biden can't make up his mind on how President Donald Trump should or should not be handling the Wuhan coronavirus. On Tuesday, he applauded the president for listening to health care experts like Drs. Anthony Fauci and Deborah Birx.

"I think what's been done, appropriately is, it started off talking about the need to have the social distancing, realizing that by starting off listening to the scientists, listening to Dr. Fauci and others," he said.

More evidence that Joe is losing his mind. His family should do something.

      • I like meat, a lot. But, seriously?

This could force workers (at threat of their jobs) to work in unsafe conditions and limit their redress for such. These plants have turned into COVID hotspots resulting in at least 3,400 cases and 17 fatalities thus far.

        Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

Lameness and douchiness on the part of both Trump and the WaPo.
That’s a column so it’s not news reporting. If you want to scrutinize all opinion pieces for hyperbole than get to it. But having a column with a line like that in it is no big deal.

Trump is not a victim to the big mean media.

That’s an unflattering picture. Really unfair of lamestream media.

This isn't at least a legitimate concern? Trump using the DPA to force meat plants open, which are then forced to make employees show up to potential COVID hotspots? Add to that his musing about removing liability for these plants in case employees catch COVID at work?
"...you pointy-headed autopsy nerd. Do you think it's possible for you to post without using words like "hilarious," "absurd," "canard," and "truther"? Your bare assertions do not make it so. Maybe your reasoning is too stunted and your vocabulary is too limited to go without these epithets."

Why should the plants be liable if it's not their choice to be open?

It took me a while in the early days before I understood that TDS referred to an unwavering and at times excessive, even irrational, contempt for Trump. And I do see that in some of the critiques and commentary on CNN, MSNBC, etc. But TDS seems to apply in a contrarian sense as well. For example, Lindsay Graham is one of the biggest Trump supporters/lovers out there today. But consider just a few of his comments about Trump prior to Trump's nomination:

“To Donald Trump, congratulations. You did a hell of a thing; you beat me and everybody else. I just really believe that the Republican Party has been conned here.”

Graham had previously described Trump as a “race-baiting, xenophobic religious bigot,” and declared that, “I do not believe he is a reliable Republican conservative nor has he displayed the judgment and temperament to serve as commander in chief,” and, “looking back, we should have basically kicked him out of the party.”

Certainly Trump’s character, words and actions have been pretty consistent since he entered the race. So what happened to Graham, Christie, and a passel of other former Trump-haters who now pucker up in anticipation of kissing Trump’s backside. If that isn’t a form of derangement, what is? Perhaps TDS should be recognized as having two very different strains of the same malady.

Lol, heaven forbid someone criticize Trump and not worry about how the media is mean to him.

Indeed. I know an unabashed Trumper--perhaps the most unabashed Trumper I personally know--who made several pre-election fb posts bashing on Trump and touting Mitt as a true republican. Needless to say, i'm betting he's forgotten about those posts (or he would have deleted them by now--trust me).
Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss

There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock

Yes, the health and safety of workers in meat plants is a legitimate concern. The food supply of the country, of which meat plants are a major factor, is also a legitimate concern. What is the right balance between those concerns?

                                <sigh>

People are so emotional and polarized these days that it's not even worth trying to have a reasonable and balanced discussion about what is a complex and multi-faceted situation.

                                I'm out.
