I wonder why no former staffer hasn't come out with a book talking about how great Trump is and how the administration is all peaches and cream? Because you know Hannity would have him on and it would be a MAGA best seller.

This article has a paragraph that almost says what you just did. The entire piece is pretty good, although I think the title is unnecessarily provocative by using the word "resistance." Other than that, I think he makes pretty solid points about how Trump is not winning.

Arguably, anybody who works for Trump should carry the title “acting.” As he remarked, in November, 2017, “I am the only one that matters.”

Rep. Collin Peterson (D-Minn.) called on his Democratic colleagues to give President Trump the funding for his long-desired border wall between the U.S. and Mexico, saying its construction is inevitable.

“Give Trump the money,” Peterson told KFGO’s “News & Views” on Tuesday. “I’d give him the whole thing … and put strings on it so you make sure he puts the wall where it needs to be. Why are we fighting over this? We’re going to build that wall anyway, at some time.”

The 15-term congressman said top Democrats look at him “cross-eyed” when he makes this suggestion.

It's unfortunate neither side can abide the thought of the other side being able to claim victory. There will never be a border wall (whether of concrete, steel, Legos, whatever) that runs nonstop from the Pacific to the Gulf of Mexico. And it's equally certain there will continue to be (and should be) a wall in certain areas, and it will need to be maintained, improved, and perhaps expanded a little, and Mexico won't chip in a peso to do so. But neither side dares acknowledge those facts. Meanwhile, the economic losses to the country increasingly surpass the amount at issue.

AP-NORC poll: Shutdown drags Trump approval to yearlong low

“Trump is responsible for this,” said poll respondent Lloyd Rabalais, a federal contractor from Slidell, Louisiana, who’s not affiliated with either political party.

The 47-year-old has been furloughed for more than a month. He said he’d need to start drawing on his retirement savings next week to pay his bills if the shutdown continues.

“I do support a wall, but not the way he’s handling it,” Rabalais added. “Trump guaranteed everybody that Mexico would pay for the wall. Now he’s holding American workers like me hostage.”

It was simply a resolution to issue paychecks to the federal workers so they could put food on their tables, pay the rent, etc. but not end the shutdown.
