I spoke with a MoTab member a couple of weeks ago. He was trying to talk them into singing a nice Primary song. "I Have Two Little Hands".

The NEA encouraged teachers and students to skip school in protest of Trump becoming President. Last night on TV the VP of the NEA indicated they were doing it for all the children that will wake up frightened at Trump being President.

Last night they showed a protest group and talked to a kid that looked to be 12. Said he started a fire. The TV guy asked so how do you feel about Trump. His answer was, "Fuck the new president" with a big smile on his face.

Granted Trump said a lot of over the top things, but really NEA? I accept college indoctrination, but now grades 1-12.

I teach college—art and design. I taught a large lecture class the morning after election night. Several students didn't show up citing the traumatic events from the night before. I didn't accept their excuse, because those events could be woven perfectly into the philosophical discussion we had had and were continuing to have: perception vs reality.

My other young adult son attends art school. All of his classes the morning after election night were cancelled because the election was too traumatic for everyone including the professors. He was even able to get an extension on a paper that was due that same week. All he did was mention the election and his professor said: "I understand. You can have four more days to get the paper done without a penalty."

No, I'm not kidding.

Really, although we differ a lot, I have a positive attitude toward you. I guess I am just not current on the amount of hate that we are allowed to express. If this president gets f'd, I sure hope only a few in this country get f'd along with him.

Terrible speech all around. I am sure Obama is seething. Not surprising, but I guess I thought Trump would take this moment to show at least some humility and respect and try to unite. Wrong.
