Trump just signed the bill to put sanctions on Russia. That doesn't seem like something he would do if he coordinated with Russia with their meddling in the election.

I didn't read that entire article but looking at the quoted portion it strikes me that it is precisely that type of arrogant, elitist crap that caused so many people to vote for Trump in the first place.

Of course he dislikes the bill. Any president would dislike the bill. It ties the president's hands on Russia. This is exactly the problem with the whole russian issue: Trump signs but 'dislikes' the bill ergo he is 'colluding' with the Russians! IF onyl he had smiled on camera when he signed it!

IN fact, his reservations abotu the bill are generally correct, IMO, but he has only himself and his ridiculous conduct in office to blame.

Not really. As I understand it, it tells the president that he cant change sanctions without congressional approval. No other president would approve of that approach to foreign policy. Of course, no other president would likely have drawn such a bill.

I agree with this. Preventing the President from making changes might bother me with pretty much any past president, but with this loose cannon I can understand the need for it. Trump's belittling of his own intelligence agencies and his weird praise for Putin and things Russian have both sides very concerned. Trump may well be innocent of all the things the Dems think Mueller is looking at, but Trump has consistently behaved as if he were guilty and thus, as you note, he can blame himself for this bill.

Nice? I assume you mean that in the sense of effectiveness, not graciousness, since he insulted a very broad swath of leaders and the status quo, including nearly everyone seated behind him (yes, I'm sure that was his intent and it energized his base). For me, I think George W. Bush summed up my reaction most succinctly when, as he was walking off the dais, he was heard to mutter, "That was some weird shit." Bless him.

Concerning another great speech, Trump has said that the Boy Scouts told him that his speech to the Jamboree was "the greatest speech ever given" to the BSA. The BSA denies anyone within the organization said that (anyone who read that speech and thinks it was even appropriate, much less great, is daft), and has publicly apologized for that embarrassment.

Ha, and such analysis is contagious. I still laugh at Rudy Giuliani who said of Trump's August 2016 foreign policy speech (this was after Rudy's Body Snatcher's pod was placed next to him in the night), "I think this is the best speech that any Republican, at the least, has ever given." Lincoln was a dullard, by comparison.
