When the invasion of Afghanistan was being ramped up everyone talked about how the poppy fields were going to get destroyed and that would make this massive dent on heroin abuse. Yeah ... that didn't happen.

Additionally, I'm not sure why people keep attributing the best intentions to Trump's actions. He sure keeps proving why he doesn't deserve them.

He wants to topple Madura because he wants to do something and god forbid someone pay attention to further evidence he and rapey Epstein had a shared interest in youth.

Mexican cartel and China are main culprits behind the accessibility of fentanyl. There is also a legit medical need for the drug and if you talk to someone in emergency medicine they could explain that.

Trump does irrational and reckless things everyday. This is a big one.

Medical fentanyl is manufactured by legitimate drug companies in the US. Stopping the flow of illicit fentanyl shouldn’t affect medical fentanyl’s availability.

Not sure if you were alluding to that, but you’ve mentioned it a couple of times.

I had lunch today with four people from Columbia. Topic of Venezuela came up and they all said it’s absurd to think that there are a lot of drugs coming from Venezuela. I will watch your video. But even before I do that, both of us know there is NO WAY those boats are traveling the open seas from Venezuela to the U.S. There's no dangling rock out in the middle of the ocean (or at LP ).

I don't want to hear what the boats are NOT. I want to hear what the boats ARE. So far, NO ONE has come forth with any credible evidence that these boats are running drugs to the United States of America.

Again, it seems like it should be pretty easy to prove. Yet, we aren't even interdicting these boats, we're just blowing them up. Even if they WERE drug boats (which no one can credibly confirm), blowing people up in the middle of the ocean for being in a boat with drugs that cannot reach the U.S. seems like straight murder. Yes, murder of drug dealers (again, if proven, which it hasn't been). But I am not aware of any law in the U.S. that says its okay to commit murder as long as it is a drug dealer.

Based on your prior comments, you are probably okay with murdering people in the open seas without due process. I am definitely not. If that's where our disagreement ends, that's fine.

So this just showed up in my account tonight.

Late this morning at our yearly holiday party, a bunch of the people in my department were talking about this bonus. They turned to me and said, "Chief, you're the only one here who will even qualify for this bonus." I felt a little awkward. I didn't mention the Colonel would get it as well. He and I are the only two employees on active duty orders in our department of about 80 people. Most of the federal technicians are also part-time soldiers. Since the bonus was paid as a housing allowance, probably so it could be tax free, only soldiers on orders a month or longer qualify for it.

Fetterman's comments can be summed as

• "we're just bombing every random boat" (I don't think anyone has claimed that)
• "we know what is on the boats" (ok so tell us)
• "we have intelligence about what's on the boats" (ok so TELL US!)

Fetterman is no better than the administration. Essentially, the government, including Fetterman, are telling us "we know what we are doing". Fine. But you work for the people tell the PEOPLE you work for what you are doing. At this point, I can't believe there are any Americans who thing "I'll bet this government is following the law and everything is above board.

Again, if it is legal, provide the justification. Stop hiding behind this classification nonsense. If were so classified, why do you keep posting it all over twitter? Because you want to brag about blowing up a defenseless boat from 30,000 feet.

I wonder what the cost to the taxpayers each strike represents. Is this the most cost-effective way to do this? Or is it just cool to blow up pleasure boats in the ocean with million dollar missles?
