“Medicare for all” offends me way less than forgiveness of all student debt.Originally posted by Donuthole View PostThis debate is a shit show. The Dems are determined to outdo each other in ramping up the crazy until they all but guarantee Trump’s re-election.
Yeah let’s penalize the people who saved and scrimped and worked and avoided debt and let’s penalize all the parents who saved to put their kids through college. Let’s take money from tradespeople and give it to the dumbasses who went into $200K of debt for a liberal arts degree. So dumb.

Yeah, it is great. And Marianne Williamson won the internet poll again. They must have her back for round 3 of the Dem playoffs.Originally posted by Donuthole View PostThis debate is a shit show. Williamson will get a bump; the media are catching her vibe and giving her a ton of post-debate emphasis. Anderson Cooper is using his segment to interview her and talk about how she's tapping into something that he, himself, feels.
And now Cuomo and Kirsten Powers are digging her message and singing her praises. She's not going away yet, folks.
Delaney was a force.
Warren and Bernie both did what they needed to do.
O'Rourke and the guys from Montana and Colorado won't make it to the next one.Last edited by Sleeping in EQ; 07-30-2019, 08:49 PM.We all trust our own unorthodoxies.

Delaney came off as the only adult in the room, sometimes. The twitter left is going nuts over Warren supposedly "destroying" him, but I think more moderate Democrats will find him quite appealing. Warren's closing speech scared the crap out of me. The idea that we need to implement "big, structural change" to the country just for the hell of it is revolutionary talk.

Yeah, I agree. Delaney actually sounded reasonable along with his healthcare plan. Warren made Williamson seem somewhat normal. Bernie yells too much. It was funny when Tim Ryan told him that he doesn't have to yell:Originally posted by UVACoug View PostDelaney came off as the only adult in the room, sometimes. One of the grandest benefits of the enlightenment was the realization that our moral sense must be based on the welfare of living individuals, not on their immortal souls. Honest and passionate folks can strongly disagree regarding spiritual matters, so it's imperative that we not allow such considerations to infringe on the real happiness of real people.

That is terrifying. According to the video, we are $22.5T in debt, and Harris, Sanders and Warren want to increase that by $4T PER YEAR.Originally posted by snowcat View PostAin't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

Someone finally slams Harris on her record as AG in California. And that someone is Tulsi, who also looks hot in her white suit and tan bod."Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

I cracked this exact same joke right after Harris gave her line. No one in my family laughed, but I knew it was funny."Discipleship is not a spectator sport.
