If you truly believe that just because a couple of idiots happened to have that flag on January 6 that anyone who flies it thereafter is a sympathizer and therefore the flag is forever tainted and off limits, you’ve lost your mind.

These weren't random idiots though. And right now is a sensitive and dangerous time in our history. MAGA and such are all about symbols and flags. It's not random or arbitrary. I don't trust a justice to consider monumentally important cases in a fair way with that nonsense surrounding. It's also fucking weird to fly a flag just for immature passive aggressive reasons.

Couple with how sketchy Clarence Thomas is with issues and it is very unhealthy. The credibility of the court would benefit from some acknowledgement and accountability with this stuff.
These are not normal times and Trump isn't normal, and I mean that in the most critical context.

I think in these scenarios, the Alito stuff, the unified Reich stuff, and those that rush to defend it, it’s a proxy convo for people to publicly defend Alito/Trump campaigns idiocy on their eventual drive to rationalize their upcoming Trump support.

I like the old Utah flag a lot better

I had no problems with the old flag and didnt see the necessity of a new one, but i know most people seemed to want it. There were other designs of the flag I would have preferred to this one though. But I've begrudgingly accepted it (much like I'll be forced to begrudgingly accept the Utah Outlaws or Utah Yetis for the hockey team).

Maybe you missed the news. Prior to the Alito photo nobody associated the upside down flag with January 6, especially not at the time his wife flew the flag. The exception being a single lunatic student at UC Berkeley. This entire thing is a fabrication. Stop falling for it.

Well, if that is in fact the case, Google should be swamped with search results after Jan 6 and prior to the Alito case associating an upside down flag with Stop the Steal, January 6, etc. Here is a google search customized to show results from Jan 1, 2020 to May 1, 2024

Not agreeing with your position doesn't mean I'm irrational.

I'm aware that the upside flag is not exclusively right-wing. That doesn't mean it hasn't been on going thing on the right going back to the late 80s.
