It is - but I'm really confused by the lack of detail in this claim. What does it mean? What constitutes a "harassing email"? Was she making ethnic jokes? Insulting moms? Was it on the subject of their affair? Or something else?

Also - how is the fact that she emailed these people evidence that she accessed his email?

Seems like a very vague, very strategic info leak that's open to wide interpretation.

From a Jon Stewart interview of Paula Broadwell about her book:

"He realizes he's seen as an extremely ambitious individual. You want somebody who's ambitious and driven, and who has a will to win. ... He goes all-in to what he does."
Also, she mentions while she was embedded with him in Afghanistan he would go running with her to get to know her. She said, "That was the foundation of our relationship." I guess it was, indeed, extremely physical.

This whole interview is seems awkward in hindsight.

My question is why is he now not going to testify in the Benghazi investigation?

As well as Clinton (she just happens to be out of town). Without the two principle congress is wasting their time with this investigation. Maybe they should focus on the fiscal problems now and come back to this when at least Clinton can show up.

The timing of the DCI’s resignation obviously raises questions, but the atomic structure of the event at least is clear. Dave and Paula had an affair. Dave preferred to resign rather than be fired. What was okay for President Clinton is not okay for other government servants, and we all need to keep a handle on that.
Yes, maybe Dave should just be impeached by the House of Representatives.

She may have been valedictorian of her South Dakotan high school class but she's not the brighest bulb. The outcome of those harassing emails was predictable. This calls into question how much of that book is hers, considering she had a co-author who was a professional writer and the circumstances.

It's not advisable to have an affair with someone who has less to lose than you do. For Petreaus that ruled out everyone in the world except President Obama or his wife.

Petraeus' wife is on the far right. Things are starting to make more sense

Sounds like the 50 miles from the flag pole rule was in effect

Unless you come forward that kind of stuff can get clearance pulled in a heartbeat.

I personally don't think he had a choice.

I may be small, but I'm slow.

A veteran - whether active duty, retired, or national guard or reserve is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to, "The United States of America ", for an amount of "up to and including my life - it's an honor."

It's baffling when men/women who are so accomplished hook up with people that are a bit off. Who sends harrassing emails like that? The emotional maturity level recalls middle school.
                          Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

I'm shocked you would post that's it's okay to cheat because of the looks of a spouse.

Who am I kidding, if I had to sleep with someone who looked like Kathy Bates I would probuley be out doing the humpty dance also.

A relationship can only take so much long distance for so long. First Petraeus is away in Iraq, then he's in Afghanistan, and then when he comes back, his wife takes off to New Zealand to appear as an extra in the new Hobbit films.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

Exactly. Connecting the dots it looks like she sent the emails about the time the General ended the relationship.
