    I like how you think.

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

I know I'm going to regret asking, but really? The rabbit?

I assume this story has been verified by someone else besides Breitbart, or you wouldn't bring it up, right?

        • It's starting to get ugly and it's just the beginning. Ryan is pulling a Dole '96 strategy of abandoning (but not unendorsing) the Trump to try and save the house. Once more, fresh oppo hits all the polls are going to look like this.

          • With the suspension of Billy Bush, looks like the Today Show has higher standards than the GOP.

Win or lose, we haven't heard the last of Donald Trump. Maybe, just maybe, we can be rid of Billy Bush.

Nice. The GOP's response to all this really has a 'generational' feel to it. There's a couple of dozen lawmakers who have publicly withdrawn support of Trump, and hopefully if nothing else get remembered for having standards. But the loudmouths (I'm looking at you, formerly universally admired but now laughing stock Guliani) who are still quibbling about whether or not this is just loudmouth boasting or actual sexual assault are quickly becoming the spokespeople for the GOP. People can argue if the media is unfairly focusing on Guliani and other Trump apologists, but the fact that there are still senior GOP people who support Trump is being noticed by a new generation of voters. The GOP already plays catch-up with the dems when trying to court women voters. This latest scandal (and supposedly more will come to light) is going to destroy whatever support women independent voters give to them.

And the future looks even more bleak. The party is already at odds with young voters on most social and many economic issues. How lasting will Trump's damage be for the future voters? Is he really worth it?

I would say the future looks bleak for both the dems and pubs. The young Bernie supporters felt like they got screwed in the primaries given all the crap that came out in the DNC's emails. It will be interesting to see how these youngsters vote in the general election. The poll that SCcoug posted shows that more dems will be voting for a 3rd party candidate than the pubs. Maybe someday we will look back and thank both Hillary and Drumpf for planting the seeds that killed off today's two major parties.

                        • Thanks to Donald Trump for informing me that I live in a dark, horrible country. I still don't really see it, but he must be right because he inherited a lot of money from his dad and has built a lot of gaudy hotels.

                          • Days after President Clinton admitted to having an inappropriate relationship with former White House intern Monica Lewinsky, Trump said Clinton was a “victim” and critiqued the physical appearances of various women with whom Clinton had been accused of having extramarital relations at different times.

“It’s like it's from hell, it's a terrible group of people,” Trump said in an interview with FOX News' Neil Cavuto on Aug. 19, 1998.

Asked by Cavuto if Clinton’s image as a “quasi-sex symbol” stood to somehow benefit from the alleged extramarital relations, Trump took issue with the characterization.

“I don't necessarily agree with his victims, his victims are terrible,” Trump said. “He is really a victim himself. But he put himself in that position.”

“The whole group, Paula Jones, Lewinsky, it's just a really unattractive group. I'm not just talking about physical," he said.

“Would it be any different if it were a supermodel crowd?” Cavuto then asked.

“I think at least it would be more pleasant to watch,” Trump replied.

I think if there's a mass defection from the dems, it won't be for another generation. I have two daughters who 'felt the Bern' but now support Clinton, and I see that trend generally with their peers. They reluctantly support the dem ticket because even if they are not enthusiastic, it aligns with most of their values.

                              • This blog has a good summary of the debate. A sample:

Martha: Okay but back to your locker room assault. You’ve said that this campaign has changed you—that though being a clear predator in that video at the age of 59, you’ve now become good. Is that really true?

Trump: Martha—I don’t know how much clearer I can make this. I told detailed assault stories that included specific dates, names, and body parts. That’s just classic locker room talk. Every guy talks to other guys about detailed stories of his previous assaults that include specific dates, names, and body parts. You don’t know this because you’re not there—but whenever guys are alone, they talk about their previous assaults. That doesn’t mean they assaulted anyone, obviously. Unless they’re Bill Clinton. Bill Clinton is a bad fucking dude. Bill Clinton told me about when he held a Taco Bell employee down by the neck in the restaurant’s utilities closet and had intercourse with her. Bill Clinton told me about having a foursome with Chelsea’s three best friends while Chelsea was sleeping upstairs. Hillary missed it because she was busy laughing at a 12-year-old rape victim who by coincidence is sitting right over there.

                                Martha: Nicely done. Hillary?

Clinton: I’ll let Michelle Obama do the talking here. She said, “When someone talks about that time when your husband held a Taco Bell employee down by the neck in the restaurant’s utilities closet and had intercourse with her, you go high.” It works for Michelle, and it works for me. Also, you insulted a Muslim war hero’s parents and said a Latino judge was inherently biased and mocked a disabled reporter and said Obama was foreign.

Trump: The first three, sure. But you’re the one who said Obama was foreign. Also, Michelle Obama has openly said you’re the worst ever. Also, you cheated to beat Bernie Sanders. Also, you deleted 33,000 emails you sneaky fuck. And when I’m Führer, I’m hiring a special prosecutor to come after you.

Clinton: He’s lying about everything, it’s all on my website, and let’s just be happy that this loose cannon isn’t in charge of the law in this country.

Trump: Because you’d be in jail.

                                Audience: Oh dayome!

Anderson: We’d like to remind the audience to stop being a piece of shit.

Martha: But really, Hillary—what’s up with the emails you sneaky fuck.

Clinton: It was a mistake. I wrote 33,000 emails about Chelsea’s wedding and a yoga class, and I shouldn’t have deleted them. Now let’s get to the questions from the audience.

Trump: Of course—anything to divert from this question, you crooked shrew.

Clinton: Anything to divert from your campaign, you incompressible jizztrumpet.

Anderson: That’s enough. Now let’s resume this town hall farce with our second audience question.
