CNN has problems, but Anderson Cooper does value facts and tries to be fair.

Much of what passes for "the news" these days is the delusional, ideological, gossip-laden, emotionally-manipulative, divisive fantasies of demagogues who vainly search for ways to support their presuppositions while they prop up their ratings, bosses, political allies, advertisers, and brands.

How bad is our "press corps" today?

Just imagine what they'd be doing to President Reagan over his womanizing in Hollywood, controversies as governor of California, having an astrologer in the oval office, and, if they could be bothered, the Iran-Contra affair.

For the record, I do not review Fox, MSNBC, or CNN, finding their biases too blatant. As a general rule, I only review print or digital materials and do not review television news any longer. The quality of television news materials is quite poor and not worth the time when I can review many more articles more quickly by reading print or digital materials.

Instead, I find BBC, Reuters, Slate, Atlantic, NYT, and Wall Street Journal, together with FiveThirtyEight.com, Realclearpolitics.com and even Drudge.com with their known biases, better sources than relying upon any of the formerly major news networks. It provides a clearer overview of what perspectives are out there.

The exact opposite way CNN will spin it. There is no such thing as an objective media. There is also nothing surprising about not indicting her. Sure, they'd indict someone else for the same offense, but there isn't a chance in hell she'd be convicted, so why indict? She broke the law and everyone knows it. Proving it was intentional to the satisfaction of those who would be called upon to convict just ain't gonna happen. Unfortunately, she's the rule, not the exception, when it comes to politicians thinking laws are for other people.

You are exactly right. Fox was showing the Hillary statements and then Comey's statements which basically caught Hillary lieing. Over on CNN mostly I heard about some anti semetic tweet or something. As far as Hillary they basically were indicating, she is now good to go.

I don't think the lieing and dishonestly will hurt her. I think the public basically thinks they (politicians and media) are mostly liars and get away with stuff the average Joe can't.

I am somewhat surprised there are not more Democrats abandoning Hillary. The efforts by the Democrats on the Benghazi panel to protect her should be embarrassing. At some point they should at least pretend they care about the harder right.

It is obvious she is going to win, likely very handily. Trump will continue to stomp on his own pecker. So they could step out of line without really jeapordizing their control of the White House and at least give off the illusion that they fundamentally believe in something other than power and their agenda.

You guys haven't given democrats an acceptable alternative. I'd take Kasich or even Rubio over Hillary any day and that is taking to account a GOP congress. I'm not thrilled about her.

I'm surprised people are more fired up after Comey's presser. It was obvious Hillary was careless with classified material and lied about it. We all knew that before Comey said anything. I think the Bengazi investigation was embarrassing. That much money and time just to dig up dirt on an opponent sets a bad precedent.
