I don't know where you read that, but if step back and act as an adviser to Trump, heaven forbid, Gingrich makes the most sense. First, he would add credibility as he worked with Hillary's husband for the last time the two parties worked together and spent less than they usually do. Second, he knows how to work legislation and has street cred with the legislators. Third, he can raise money. Fourth, he won't have any future chances, so he won't damage his future as a candidate. Other names being floated might ruin her or his political career. Fifth, he knows how to fight.

Of the national names, he is the only one that makes sense, if you were providing guidance to the unguidable Trump.

Plus the Evangelicals can rally around this strong family values ticket. Six marriages and multiple affairs between them, Trump boasting of his many affairs with married women, Gingrich cheating on his wives, and divorcing one while she was battling cancer. And yet I keep hearing some on the right touting Trump's strong family values.
