    • Honestly an intelligent person would stay home and watch TV rather than vote for Trump or Hillary. Can you imagine later in life being asked and have to admit you voted for one of them?

You guys didn't know that Christie is an uncouth pig and a thug? I'm surprised. He and Trump have always seemed to me twin sons of different mothers.

          • As a soldier, a vote for Trump is probably the vote the one that helps my pocket book the most. That said, my vote will be for whoever is running against Trump.

              • There's a reason why it's been called the stupid party:

                http://www.nytimes.com/2016/02/28/us...arty.html?_r=0

Read along and marvel at the party's indecision, lack of organization, and fear of a populist revolt that led to Trump's near inevitability. And, try to figure out what was/is going on in the head of the party's de facto elder statesman:

Mr. Rubio’s advisers were also thwarted in their efforts to secure an endorsement from Mr. Romney, whom they lobbied strenuously after the Feb. 20 South Carolina primary. Mr. Romney had been eager to tilt the race, and even called Mr. Christie after he ended his campaign to vent about Mr. Trump and say he must be stopped. On the night of the primary, Mr. Romney was close to endorsing Mr. Rubio himself, people familiar with his deliberations said.

Yet Mr. Romney pulled back, instead telling advisers that he would take on Mr. Trump directly.

After a Tuesday night dinner with former campaign aides, during which he expressed a sense of horror at the Republican race, Mr. Romney made a blunt demand Wednesday on Fox News: Mr. Trump must release his tax returns to prove he was not concealing a “bombshell” political vulnerability. Mr. Trump responded only with casual derision, dismissing Mr. Romney on Twitter as “one of the dumbest and worst candidates in the history of Republican politics.”

Mr. Romney is expected to withhold his support before the voting this week on the so-called Super Tuesday, but some of his allies have urged him to endorse Mr. Rubio before Michigan and Idaho vote March 8. Mr. Romney grew up in Michigan, and many Idahoans are fellow Mormons.
Romney's tax attack is going to fall flat. No Trump supporter cares if he's shady with his taxes; he's shady with every other part of his life, that's his persona. It is baffling why he hasn't endorsed anyone yet. I'm sure it's coming, but what are the odds it's going to help now?

Romney: good man, average governor, terrible politician.

                  1) One of his central messages was to make Germany great again (and safe).
                  2) Following the Germany defeat in WW1, another central theme was restoring an attitude of winning.
                  3) Constantly talked about the negative influence of foreigners and immigrants in Germany.
                  4) His message resonated with the angry working class. Educated people were mostly against him.
                  5) At the early Nazi rallies, protesters would show up and shout and disturb the events. Some of the attendees beat the protestors up and Hitler approved. Based on this approval, a group of thugs formally organized to beat up protesters at subsequent rallies. This group later became the SA (storm troopers).

Now before you go all Godwin's Law on me, I do not consider Trump to be anywhere near the threat that Hitler was. Just found the parallels interesting.

Former Mexican President Vicente Fox on Friday kept up his withering criticism of Donald Trump, saying the GOP front-runner reminds him of Adolf Hitler.

"Today, he's going to take that nation (U.S.) back to the old days of conflict, war and everything. I mean, he reminds me of Hitler. That's the way he started speaking," Fox told CNN's Anderson Cooper in a phone interview on "Anderson Cooper 360."
