  • Question for your Hillary = Satan folks:

    1. Do you think the Bill Clinton presidency was a worse-than-trump disaster? If so, why?

    2. Do you think Hillary would be radically different from Bill as president? If so, why?

    • GOP Senators warn of revolt if Cruz wins nomination. Is the GOP is going all in for Trump? LOL.

Moreover, trump will be restrained by the limits of the system to some degree but Hillary has demonstarted she will act outside of the system as it suits her. Yes, they are in different universes. But I prefer to watch a clown rail Against the system to the pernicious and absolute self interest of Clinton. Ymmv.
Let's try this out. Trump has proposed a complete ban on Muslims entering the US. In the context of this discussion, he expressed sympathy for the concept of internment camps used against Japanese Americans in WWII. Given his racist and xenophobic comments about Mexicans, you cannot dismiss these as meaningless gaffes. Singling out one religion would be a violation of one of our most cherished rights.

OK, now explain to me what Hillary has done that is worse than this.

And please don't respond with "He wouldn't be able to do it, people would talk him out of it." That's a copout.

Maybe the Clinton machinery is powerful enough to quash any criminal responsibility for Hillary, but, regardless of what happens, her conduct should disqualify her for the presidency, IMO.
I'll wait until I see the indictment. Until then, my plan remains to vote for Hillary if Trump is the republican nominee.

My hope would be if I ended up having to vote for him is the weight of the job would cause him to be serious and surround himself with great people and make sound decisions. Yes, it would be a hope, but based on the fact I am sure he didn't run his company like the wild and wacky guy he is on the campaign trail.
Trump the financial genius, just gave us this:

I was saying make America great again, and I actually think we can say now, and I really believe this, we’re gonna get things coming … we’re gonna get Apple to start building their damn computers and things in this country, instead of in other countries.
That would be an unmitigated disaster.

I can't stand Trump or Hillary. Trump is a megalomaniac and Hillary is corrupt.

                    1- no

2- She has worse political judgment, is more ideological, is more blatantly corrupt and surrounds herself with a less competent political team than her husband. Their two political operations are separate. No way in hell would Bill hire someone like Mook to run his campaign. No way would Hillary ever have Dick Morris on staff. Her style is ideological and insular with an echo chamber mentality. His style is strategic, agnostic and smart.

                      1) Protest vote, pure and simple. The current state of the republican party is embarrassing, much more so than the democratic party. Over the course of a generation, they have allowed crackpot radio personalities and ignorant politicians to become spokespeople for the party in the eyes of much of the nation. The current majority support for Trump is the end product of the constant liberal bashing. He is the personification of what many conservative voters seem to relish; a loud mouth who yells all the right things, appealing to the lowest common denominator.

If Trump can do so well in the nomination process and in all likelihood win the nomination, the process is completely broken. Fix it, republicans, because it is embarrassing. Until you do, I will vote for the democratic nominee. I'll consider returning to the fold once you have a nominating process that doesn't favor an embarrassment like Trump over 10+ other nominees.

                      2) Hillary is the devil I know. Her email problem is potentially very serious, she probably screwed up in Benghazi, she likes power, and Bill is embarrassing. But despite the CONSTANT attention by Fox News (seriously, every time Fox News is on the gym TV they are either yelling about Benghazi or emails), I am still unsure how those automatically disqualify her for the presidency. Until then, she's been a state senator and secretary of state. That experience in and of itself trumps Trump. And, I just can't maintain the hate towards the Clintons that Limbaugh et al have fomented for 20+ years.
First, she has apparently committed a felony, or felonies worse than Petraeus. Do you believe a felon should be eligible for the Presidency?
Second, she has served in two public positions, one appointed, and one elected. She was non-distinguished as a junior senator, and she was a failure as Secretary of State. Are you stating being a failure in your positions make you qualified to be President? You seem to be echoing President Nixon's famous statement that mediocre people need representation on the Supreme Court as well.
Third, she lies. Constantly. Without end. You have no fear of an unrepentant liar who seeks nothing but power and influence being the most powerful public official? She has lied about Benghazi. She has lied about the email scandal. In terms of being in favor of sexually harassed women, she has deviated from that if it involves Bill. The White Water scandal allowed her to escape prosecution. So she is good enough to cover her tracks. You believe an inherently dishonest, power hungry person who is incompetent once she achieves that position and should be prosecuted as felon is qualified to be POTUS? If so, you have extremely low standards, and Trump has done nothing to disqualify himself in that regard.

Upon rejecting the Beatles, Dick Rowe told Brian Epstein of the January 1, 1962 audition for Decca, which signed Brian Poole and the Tremeloes instead.

I'll put you on record as favoring corruption over megalomania. I'll pass on both and go third party.

Agreed. And Bill had charm for some people, whereas Hillary has less charm than a three week old supply of liverwurst. Hillary is dangerous because she does not believe the rules apply to her, dishonest to her core and vicious. I remember reading one of the comments from her aid after the Benghazi hearings, "Hillary is making a list of whom to destroy." She is malicious without good judgment.

I agree. I had hoped my post was riddled with my hoping if elected he would act and think like the businessman he has been and not the loudmouth panderer he is trying to win an election.

I don't think one can blast him for being a loud mouth panderer (I am not saying you did, but just in case you were thinking of it), wanting to win an election and then profess how much they like Hillary over him.

Wow, I guess I was wrong. Thank you for stating the facts so clearly. I am changing my mind!

aside, you got one thing right. This election season has caused me to have embarrassingly low standards. They are so low that I will vote for Hillary over Trump, because Trump is less qualified to be president than Hillary. And he's dumber than Hillary. And Hillary has better hair.

Hillary is Richard Nixon on steroids, without Henry Kissinger. Just you wait.

How is she qualified? She has held two positions and failed at both. Is failure a qualification for you?
