Great. I will just mark you down as one who loves a one sided conversation. I am not knocking it. So did my ex and she is a wonderful person.

      1) Protest vote, pure and simple. The current state of the republican party is embarrassing, much more so than the democratic party. Over the course of a generation, they have allowed crackpot radio personalities and ignorant politicians to become spokespeople for the party in the eyes of much of the nation. The current majority support for Trump is the end product of the constant liberal bashing. He is the personification of what many conservative voters seem to relish; a loud mouth who yells all the right things, appealing to the lowest common denominator.

If Trump can do so well in the nomination process and in all likelihood win the nomination, the process is completely broken. Fix it, republicans, because it is embarrassing. Until you do, I will vote for the democratic nominee. I'll consider returning to the fold once you have a nominating process that doesn't favor an embarrassment like Trump over 10+ other nominees.

      2) Hillary is the devil I know. Her email problem is potentially very serious, she probably screwed up in Benghazi, she likes power, and Bill is embarrassing. But despite the CONSTANT attention by Fox News (seriously, every time Fox News is on the gym TV they are either yelling about Benghazi or emails), I am still unsure how those automatically disqualify her for the presidency. Until then, she's been a state senator and secretary of state. That experience in and of itself trumps Trump. And, I just can't maintain the hate towards the Clintons that Limbaugh et al have fomented for 20+ years.

Your preference consists of one principle. You are a liberal.

OK, now explain to me what Hillary has done that is worse than this.

And please don't respond with "He wouldn't be able to do it, people would talk him out of it." That's a copout.

I will not defend Trump, despite your rather egregious mischaracterization of his statements which, as with most of the clowning he does, evolved substantially over time. As you may recall, I posted on here at the time he made those obnoxious statements about muslims noting how he took a ridiculous position at the beginning but then modified it and made it conditional over time so that he was not boxed in. I don't think he is stupid, as you apparently do, I just think he is a clown to get attention. I cannot stand Trump. But, as I have said repeatedly, we have seen what Hillary and her team did when in a place of power. It's not speculative, it is actual performance in office. It was repulsive how she handled issues and how she lied about it afterwards. Not to mention how she repeatedly changed her views based on pure expedience from her days as first lady to the senate to the secretary of state.

This compares to Trump, whom you attack by trotting out several tired tropes you have trumpeted here before, who is good primarily at getting himself publicity. He is otherwise a buffoon, IMO, but he would be forced to deal with the rest of the government in trying to achieve the things he spouts about and we both know he will not be successful in even a majority of those efforts. You think he is worse than hillary because he panders to workers by saying "we are going to get Apple to build their things here" without knowing what that even means? It is meaningless! It is a sound bite wrapped up emotion to get his mug on camera once again. I dislike Trump. A lot. I dislike things he promotes. A lot. And I would be afraid of what he would try to do through executive action should he be elected. But I KNOW what Hillary has done, and I know what sort of person she is. And she is NOT Bill Clinton. She is much worse. Think about what sort of person lives her life, as she has, in order to get to this point. No thanks. I do not want. So, yes, I will vote for Trump if my choice is between Trump and Hillary. May the Lord bless us all if that is what it comes to.
        PLesa excuse the tpyos.

          1. I don't know. It hasn't happened yet. I am unhappy Trump might win the nomination and is among the last from the GOP I would select. Hopefully, if he were elected, he would surround himself with good, smart people, as he does in business. Bill was a cluster, but he was also the Teflon Don.

          2. Yes, in terms of style, malignancy and efficiency. She antagonizes, misjudges situations abroad and at home, and is solely focused upon her own advancement.

If you're referring to your egregious mischaracterization of Trump's statements about Muslims (none of which I defend, to be clear) which was the premise of your post, then yes, I agree. If you just LIKE hillary more than Trump, that's fine. We all do that all the time. But if you really want to discuss why one is better than the other, please offer something more than a false premise followed by dismay when it isn't acknowledged or responded to as you wanted, all as judged by you. Until then, not much point in discussing this further.

IOW, Hillary would be radically different because she is a radically different person and leader.

But not in a good way.

Different things scare different people. Hillary saying she will be Obama's third term scares me more than anything Donald says, but I can see how the French and differing good Americans like the way Obama does and Hillary would do things. Just not for me.
