Despite a horrible start the Dems have really finished the week very well. I loved the optimism over the past two days. I remember when GOP conventions were like that. We went from stories by people in Mitt Romney's ward to watching Trump's nonsense shouted from a golden stage. I really hate that guy so bad.Comment

Hillary Clinton really is a bad speaker. Tough to follow Michelle Obama, Bill Clinton, and Barack Obama. But she provided a good reminder of how bad Democrats are. Like the criticism of Trump saying "i along can solve" and then praising Obama for saving the country from financial ruin. And another thing. Why do they act like killing Osama Bin Laden was a hard call? It's not. He was a really, really bad guy and presented a threat to the United States. Killing him was a pretty easy call.Comment

I agree the praise (especially for Hillary) is overblown, but I don't think the call was easy. I still remember (and I'm sure everyone did in the Situation Room that day in 2011) the disaster of Operation Eagle Claw when Carter okayed the rescue of American hostages in Tehran. Everything went wrong, including several serviceman deaths and the loss of a lot of equipment. It was a public relations coup for Iran and was a major reason Carter lost his reelection bid. I'd give most of the credit to all the intelligence assets that pinned down OBL's location as well as they did, and especially to the SEALs whose performance was truly amazing. But Obama's decision wasn't easy and I give him credit for having the guts to proceed; Hillary, not so much, even though she had an earnest look on her face.Comment
