Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa! Earnest? Did you say earnest? Morgan Frickin' Freeman narrated us into the President of These United States telling us, quote, "She's carrying the hope and the rage of an entire nation.""Wuap's "problem" is that he is smart & principled & committed to a moral course of action. His actions are supposed to reflect his ethical code.
The rest of us rarely bother to think about our actions." --Solon

Ha. I was listening to his voiceover as I was driving home and as much as I love Morgan Freeman (I'd buy a ticket to hear him reading a phone book), I thought that comment was hilariously over the top. Of course, he was simply reading a script to which he applied way more gravitas than it deserved.Originally posted by wuapinmon View PostWhoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa! Earnest? I didn't watch
but did Hillary really say college is going to be free? I'm wondering if I should pull out all of my kids 529 savings and go buy a truck.

Whenever you do this I feel terrible.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostThat is far too vague of a statement for a quick consensus. Could you be more specific?
It's like the time in Jr. High we were teasing a kid and then we learned he rode on the short bus.

I just saw this today. It is well worth your time:
It's kind of jarring seeing such a mediocre candidate introduce a truly great American story. And very surprising to see how easily the democrats stole the patriotism argument from the republicans. Not having watched either convention, my perception (no doubt influenced by the MSM) is that the democrats offered more optimism and idealism than the republicans. Who knows how much it is grounded in reality. But it's certainly easier supporting the dems this time around."...you pointy-headed autopsy nerd. Do you think it's possible for you to post without using words like "hilarious," "absurd," "canard," and "truther"? Your bare assertions do not make it so. Maybe your reasoning is too stunted and your vocabulary is too limited to go without these epithets."

The Conventions only kickstart the true campaign seasons. The GOP is in complete disarray without leadership or direction. The Dems are united in their devotion to entitlements. Let's Buy everybody for FREEEEEEEEEE. And Hillary and Bernie go waltzing hand and in hand.Originally posted by Northwestcoug View PostI just saw this today. It is well worth your time:

I am seeing this linked on FB by people using it to argue that Gary Johnson is crazy. But I agree with pretty much everything he is saying in this interview:

The stupid promises of free shit for everyone are a lot less distasteful than the shit sandwich Trump & the Gang are serving up. Boy, this sucks."I'm anti, can't no government handle a commando / Your man don't want it, Trump's a bitch! I'll make his whole brand go under,"
