The polls have tightened significantly for the Republican race in Iowa in the last week. RCP Average now only has Trump up 5 points with the latest two polls only showing him up 1 on Cruz and Rubio in striking distance. Remember, Iowa is weird. Santorum and Huckabee came out of nowhere to win it the last two cycles.

I was kind of hoping that at some point Mike Lee was going to get booted from office. However, I see according to the last poll here in Utah, Cruz, Trump and Carson were in the lead.
I thought Utah was one of the more highly educated electorates??Comment

Honestly though, Trump has been running on anger and momentum for months. If he get knocked down in Iowa what does he have left? Certainly nothing of substance. His numbers have already started to slide a bit and I think losing the first one out of the gate would puncture his campaign. I said it could be like Dean 2004 a while back and I still think that. It sounds like Hillary's email leak might have gotten some people killed (no concrete info regarding someone getting killed has been released, although I wonder if even then would put a stop to Hillary's ambition). The emails withheld last week at the request of the intelligence community included names of covert CIA people and foreigners working for our intelligence services.
