This is awesome. Trump debates himself, based on his changing positions.

Kasich would beat the pantsuits off Hillary.Originally posted by Moliere View PostI think he'll be a strong front runner for the VP slot. He's from Ohio and is popular there, he's experienced (especially in terms of the budget), and has really no big negatives. He's not a great presidential candidate, although I think he'd be a great president and I'd vote for him in a heartbeat.
For whatever reason, it seems like the Republican primary voters either want the man coming in on the white horse (Donald Trump), or they want to be completely uncompromising (Cruz). I suspect the one overriding reason is the idea that a massive influx of illegal aliens has etched away traditional American culture and/or caused economic hardship. I don't hold to this idea necessarily myself (though I do suspect that wages have been kept down in some spheres in the US) -- Texas and Arizona have plenty of immigrants and they both seem to be doing much better than average. Trump plays these people like a fiddle.
Jeff Sessions would have possibly been a good candidate this year for the GOP. He's not Donald Trump, and he speaks the most persuasively on the topic I mentioned above.Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

“awaken the body of Christ that we may pull back from the abyss.”
“If we awaken and energize the body of Christ — if Christians and people of faith come out and vote our values — we will win and we will turn the country around,” Cruz told supporters back in December.
“I want to tell everyone to get ready, strap on the full armor of God, get ready for the attacks that are coming,” Cruz said.

I have been very, very critical of Evangelicals who would sit home and not vote for Romney because of religious differences. Now I find myself being a hypocrite in that I would have a hard time driving somewhere and voting for Cruz.Originally posted by Maximus View Post

I got to participate in a local political poll over the phone last Thursday evening. They started by asking about my local state legislators, then my US Rep and Senator, and finished up with the question "if the election were held today, who would you vote for, for President of the United States.
I just laughed. Couldn't even respond.

Did they give you a choice or could you respond with anyone? There are a couple acceptable answers if you can name any candidate. If you are restricted to the current leaders then laughter is appropriate.Originally posted by Eddie View PostI got to participate in a local political poll over the phone last Thursday evening.
