      • I have no idea what's going to happen in New Hampshire, but I think Christie did enough to plant some doubt in voter's heads regarding Rubio. On Friday, I thought Rubio was on a trajectory to win the primary. Now, I don't think so.

Trump will underperform his poll numbers, just like he did in Iowa. In Iowa he underperformed by 7 points.

I don't think Cruz will do well, but I think Kasich is going to get a strong second. There's a lot of people trying to make up their minds, and I don't know if they feel comfortable with Rubio, Christie is irrelevant and I no one likes Bush. So, that leaves Kasich who has a lot of organization in New Hampshire and who hasn't gotten involved too much in the mudslinging.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

Bush is ruining everything. If he was out, Kasich or Rubio would have a shot at catching Trump in NH. As it is, I expect Trump to take a similar last minute dive in NH as he did in Iowa. I fear no one has the juice to catch him though.

The reality is they're opening things up for Cruz. If it's Cruz v. Trump, Cruz will win. Cruz has run a very good campaign, and I just don't see the rank and file voting for Trump.

I don't see Bush doing much anything now. I know he's siphoning some votes off that would go to anybody but Trump, but he's more of a joke at this point. I don't think his presence is doing as much 'damage' to the nomination as others still think.

You can blame one person for Rubio's eventual flame-out in NH: Christie. He has no chance at the nomination, but he was so brutal and efficient during the debates with Rubio that I just don't see how he recovers. Christie has a shtick as shallow as Rubio's (loudmouth governor who steps on toes but gets things done), but after his attack I pretty much sided with him. Most of my like of Rubio is based on how he projects himself. He comes across as America's most grateful citizen, and that is commendable. But I fear he really doesn't have the chops to govern well at all. And since I disagree with his extreme stance on abortion, I'm afraid there isn't much else of him that I can support.

              • Gloria Steinem says that young women support Bernie Sanders over Hillary because "they want to meet more boys."

I think women that support Bernie Sanders probably find that offensive, just a guess. And they're probably confused as to why they're supposed to support Hillary Clinton simply because of having similar genitalia. 50% of the country is female, it's hardly a qualification for the presidency.

With Rubio, we don't really know whether he can govern or not. With Hillary, we're sure she can't because she did such a bad job running State Department.

Christie can't win, Bush can't win, Kasich probably can't win, but Rubio can. If Rubio doesn't win, then Cruz or Trump gets the nomination and they're bad general election candidates.

Bush and Christie want to get it to a three man race with Trump or Cruz. Four people all feel that way and they're waiting for the other guys to drop out. Rubio was the strongest and most appealing and the most likely to last. But unlike Rubio, I don't think Bush or Christie win a three way race.

For all the Christie talk about how green Rubio is and how he can't win because of that, one only needs to look at Christie in baseball pants to know that Christie would be a far worse general election candidate. The

I'm beginning to think that isn't as safe a bet as it used to be.

Last week, my staunch Democrat co-worker - who is also not LDS (Methodist) told me she wished Mitt was running this year. As he would be much more desirable as president than any of the current candidates from either party.

He definitely would be. Too bad he ended up being nominated to run against Obama.

Honestly, I'd really consider voting for Bloomberg if he enters the race. The only front runner I might vote for would be Cruz, but even then I probably wouldn't given that I hate him so much.

Yeah well no duh. This race is a joke. I can't believe we don't have anybody better that wants to be president. PRESIDENT.
