Is anxiously am waiting for the "Good things law enforcement has done" thread.
Pretty sure Wuap won't post in it...because nothing like that has ever happened.
Iran/Iraq/Afghanistan is what you get with weak ass law enforcement that does nothing.

Stop it, it doesn't work. I'm sure you heard the same conference talk, or SS lesson I did. Some young boy told a lie, or stoke a piece of candy. His father said this to him once, and he felt so much remorse he repented and set his course to GAhood from that day forward. I tried this a few times with my boys. What did I get in return? The chance to hear it mimicked from one brother to another, when one of them is in trouble. Like Mark Grace said, thank goodness for daughter Vandelay.Originally posted by wuapinmon View PostYou disappoint me.

Do you not find the current situation excessive? Is this how you would want your local police force to behave? Of course law enforcement does more good than bad. But we entrust them to uphold the law, not to play paramilitary.Originally posted by The_Tick View PostIs anxiously am waiting for the "Good things law enforcement has done" thread.

I pretty much find this whole thread offensive. My opinion is that law enforcement should be respected more often than not.Originally posted by USUC View PostDo you not find the current situation excessive? Do they make mistakes? Sure. It happens in all fields and all professions...but the only one we choose to completely vilify here on CS is Law Enforcement...and I think it is bullshit. Lawyers, Doctors and Teachers are doing fucked up shit every day...we don't have thread pointing out how horrible they are.
I looked for something horrible engineers have done...and I couldn't find anything. #SJBH

I'd be much more comfortable with this thread if guys like wuap did a cop's job for a month. He'd have much more credibility. Unfortunately, he and many others who enjoy bashing police officers, likely wouldn't last more than a day.Originally posted by The_Tick View PostI pretty much find this whole thread offensive. What is the ongoing purpose of this thread? Simply to post videos of police possibly abusing power? If so, what is the expected response? Reminds me of that stupid thread dedicated to posting terrible things that happen to children. Everyone already agrees that police brutality is wrong. This isn't an accretive thread and really doesn't add anything meaningful to the discussion. It functions more as a form of voyeurism. Very tedious.Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

Contrary to how my personna may be, I don't dislike progressives. I am just not a fan of their policies or thought process. I am sure they feel the same way about me.Originally posted by The_Tick View PostI pretty much find this whole thread offensive. However, this board leans progressive. Forward thinkers if you will. Finding a racist cop fits the agenda for some.

BTW, did you know that even doctors who read the BMJ agree that sanitation engineers have done more for human health than any other medical advancement? http://www.bmj.com/content/334/7585/111.2

Hmmm.... how to explain to the "non-engineer"....Originally posted by byu71 View PostI am sure a big thanks is in order. What do sanitation engineers do by the way. Design toilets?
Sanitation engineers are known alternately as turd-herders or turd-busters. You must herd the turds before busting them. Toilets are one piece of that puzzle.
