what does Mitt win by if current percentages in incomplete counties remain? I have to think it comes close to Viking's prediction.Originally posted by cowboy View PostUsing my same spreadsheet, Santorum would now have to win the remaining precincts 40% to 34%. Right now Cuyahoga implies a net gain of an additional 8k votes at current rates.Originally posted by pellegrino View Postwhat does Mitt win by if current percentages in incomplete counties remain? I have to think it comes close to Viking's prediction.
I'd add a few thousand here and there from some of the bigger counties to get to >10k

pretty pathetic. I think the takeaway from tonight is something one of CNN's pundits said. "Who would have thought it would have been so difficult to beat Rick Santorum?" The Republican party is about as lame as it gets.Originally posted by Surfah View PostPretty funny how pundits were talking about Mitt not wrapping this up and all the body blows he took from Santorum minutes ago to now they're talking about moral victories Rick can take home.Dio perdona tante cose per un’opera di misericordia

I wouldn't go that far, but his mormonism is irrelevant to me. At worst I view it as harmless - I theorize that I am familiar with his religion, and therefore am not scared of it, and thus can look at his substance.Originally posted by SeattleUte View PostAm I the only one who's for Mitt despite that he's a Mormon?Awesomeness now has a name. CNN's group of pundit buffoons has pissed me off all night. They are all morons, shills for their parties, nothing more. Ari F. may be the exception, as he made some sense at one point when he was talking, but nearly gave Begala an aneurysm.Originally posted by byu71 View Postit is hillarious the punditry on CNN a while ago dumping on Mitt for losing.
To now talk about how even though Rick lost he really won is going to sound dumb and redundent.

I don't have the county breakdowns, but he picked up 7k votes over Santorum with the last 8% of the precincts that reported. If his margin of victory in the remaining 11% goes that same way he picks up another 9,600 votes and wins by close to 15k.Originally posted by pellegrino View Postwhat does Mitt win by if current percentages in incomplete counties remain? I'll give Santo the south (FL doesn't count), but what is he going to win in the west? He got trounced in AZ already. He lost Washington. He lost Idaho. He's going to lose Utah and California. And I assume he'll lose Hawaii too. So, what in the west are they going to claim? Colorado?Santorum adviser John Brabender told reporters the campaign proved Tuesday that "Rick Santorum can win in the West and can win in the South. He is the only candidate who can beat Mitt Romney. There is no doubt in our minds.""Nobody listens to Turtle."-Turtlesigpic

That was LOL funny.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostSantorum is toast in Ohio.Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!
For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

OK, CNN now making the point as to why Rambam might be really wrong: ROmney is winning centrist, non-Republican strongholds and losing conservative strongholds.
Here's my bet: the evangelicals hate only Obama worse than they do Mormons. If the evangelical preachers pound the pulpit in the anti-Obama vote, and the economy doesn't show a meaningful acceleration through the summer, then Romney could win in a squeaker in November.
