  • He's worse than a dumbass. He's a lying Trump bootlicker drunk on his own narcissism.

Someone in that twitter thread called him the Mormon Kari Lake and that's a pretty apt label.

Definitely a fair name. Lyman is the dumbass who picked an ineligible running mate then called it election interference when he wasn't allowed to have his ineligible running mate on the ballot.

Meh. They whined like this about the signature gathering initiative to get on the utah republican primary. That wasn't the end of the world, and this isn't either.

For the record, Eli McCann is kind of a schmuck.

California, actually does a lot better on the Gerrymandering issue than most states because they mitigate the role of politicians in redrawing the maps. Like Jeff said, this is similar whining that the Utah GOP party engaged when lessened the hold the caucus system had on determining if primary elections are needed or not.
It's a bad look imho because they are outright rejecting the determined will of the voter via lawsuit.
Realistically it might lead to the dems getting a congressional seat and there no longer being a guarantee of always having a GOP super-majority in the Utah House, but none of that is a sure thing.

              • Gov Cox is a good and very naive man.
                Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

                  • This reminds me of when Mitt auditioned to be Secretary of State only for it to end up being a humiliation ritual. Cox will inevitably rescind his support when Trump does or says something indefensible, then he’ll look even more foolish for this completely unnecessary endorsement.

This is the way for Republicans who prefer to stay in office. I know Cox isn't a Lyman or someone of his ilk. I'd prefer him over them so play the game you need to Cox. We are at a point where fake MAGA is better than real MAGA. We all lost our innocence long ago.

Bingo. Should have called Mitt after praying.

I used to think so. So the solution in Cox' eyes is to endorse the guy that that fomented violence, laughed at Pelosi's husband having his head bashed in by one of his supporters, sent a mob to ransack the capital and kill his VP. Yes, after worrying about our nation this is the guy we should get behind.

Our country has gone insane; Cox is a tool.

I don't know about that. I think he is unwisely mixing his religious devotion with his politics. Appears to believe he can somehow "reach" Trump's better angels. As you note, they don't exist.

Yeah, there wasn't a lot of outrage over how Trump celebrated that attack. I've lost some respect for Cox.

Yes, he can't even be an option. Truly horrible. I can't believe it's coming to this.
