Go read a poll on what Americans think about abortion and after go read the handbook of the church’s view on abortion. The average Democrat is a lot closer to the church’s view on abortion than the folks pining for nationwide bans after inception.

65% of Americans want abortion, this isn’t a dem/repub issue.
You're right that it was a flippant statement, though wrong about who I interact with in real life. I shouldn't have said Dems, but rather the subset of full-term abortion absolutist Dems.

Yeah those folks are kooks. Driving around in an ice cream truck decorated with images of aborted fetuses.

Pro Choice folks do that? Yikes. They really are ghouls.

I thought that was a Pro Life tactic.
          Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

LOL! I was so used to Harris fanboy mbn that I read it as pro life. I think I should stop talking for a while. Sorry about that.

            • Oh brother. Just say it was a dick and cowardly move to walk off without acknowledging Harris at the end (which it was).. No need to read your high school group project grievance into it.

I can't read that article, but I obviously noted there are states with no restrictions on when an abortion can be done during pregnancy. The "ethics" note made me queasy as well.
There isn’t much difference between a nine month old fetus and a newly born baby. The difference is one has been born and the umbilical cord cut. Late term abortions for convenience or reason other than the health of the mother or barbaric.

Whoever thought it was a good idea to have Trump, Harris, Vance, and Biden within sight of one another at a 9/11 memorial....

I agree, and would add the viability caveat. But Trump doesn't make that difference. He claims that some states and Dems support allowing babies to be born and then "executed." Again, that would be murder and the fact check was warranted.

Why does he go down this road? To make Harris look bad? I guess so. But what does he intend to do about it?

He's already really really really happy that the states are making the decisions on this, so why get upset if some states decide to allow late-term abortions without restrictions?

Is he trying to signal to his rabid Pro Life supporters that he's willing to sign a restriction anti-abortion law if it comes to his desk? If so, then own up to it.

Harris doesn’t make that difference either. She supports the ability to terminate a pregnancy even when the fetus is healthy and in the ninth month of pregnancy.

Huh? She wants to reestablish the guidelines that existed under Roe. She's very open about that.

                                Source?

Late term abortions, those after 21 weeks, make up 1% of abortions, roughly 4k a year. We don’t have good data other than the 21 week cut off figure, but studies in the 90s had abortions after 26 weeks at .02% of all abortions.

Does an abortion at 7-9 months occur? Yes. Are they viable pregnancies or without extreme extenuating circumstances? No. Are there some that occur that shouldn’t that late? Maybe.

I don’t know if you could find any reasonable person that would abort or advocate the abortion of a fully healthy baby that wasn’t conceived via rape or incest during the last trimester.
