Bush, Obama, Biden - none of them are in the ballpark of awfulness of MAGALAND, and I'm sure you will disagree. I make this distinction because making these equivalencies downplays the seriousness of the damage he has done and will do to our country.

I think we have a reflexive need to want to normalize things, but he isn't normal by any stretch.

Trump's not being normal is his whole appeal. Yes, on a personal level Trump is the most toxic and damaging president in the modern age. But in terms of policy and governing, the Democratic Party machine is every bit as damaging and undermining of democratic norms as the GOP. The cultural and regulatory state capture they enjoy is despicable and Trump's existence ensures they don't need to answer for their awful performance.

Yeah, that just really doesn't hold up. Without Trump, the accusation you are making about the "democratic machine" wouldn't apply to either party. I think you are vastly underestimating Trump's impact and how he has become a movement now. His daughter in law heads the RNC.

Trump is unparalleled when it comes to destroying norms. It is a near impossible case to assert otherwise. J6 alone shoots that down.

He has also set an example. This time it's a Republican, next time it could a genuine leftist extremist. He has provided a template.

I feel like the Dems created and are responsible for Trump given how far left they have moved from the JFK democrats. My ancestors and even my own parents (when they were young) were democrats. In fact, my direct ancestor was from the "slaver" state and fought in the civil war as a confederate before he moved to Wyoming so you know he was a democrat.

Komrade Harris looks to be a whole lot more damaging. She is consider the most liberal senator/VP. She has the worst approval rating of any VP. Her economic policies that she is proposing are absolutely idiotic and frankly communist. She has said she will take our guns away by executive order just like a dictator. She said she would ban fracking (before she started lying about it and now saying she wouldn't ban fracking just to get elected). She is the biggest fangirl of AOC's green new deal. But now she says she will fix all the sh*t that the Biden/Harris administration is responsible for "on day one". The list goes on and on.

          • Republicans are responsible for Trump as they voted for him. And after his first admin they have selected him as the candidate again. It's the epitome of not taking accountability by blaming another party for forcing to make a bad choice.

Like an abuse partner smacking his wife and say "she asked for it and made me mad."

I also think in many ways they have moved all that far left. On some social issues certainly. But economically? No way. JFK was hated by the right during his day.

JFK was a big union guy, and he was open to advancing civil rights and immigrants rights. He stepped foreign aid, UN involvement, and diplomacy. He was the only POTUS to have a foreign honor guard participate at his funeral.

Are we forgetting about McCarthyism? The right (and yes many Dixiecrats (southern Democrats among them) despised MLK, who was pretty far left.

Harris isn't a communist. Literally, she is not and I'd urge you to familiarize yourself with what the terms means because it is losing its meaning. Some of her ideas might flirt with socialism. Even that might be a bit strong. She won't take your guns away and I think you are taking in misrepresented media.

It's cute when Ben Shapiro or Charlie Kirk act like they would have appreciated MLK. MLK did have actual commies in his inner circle.

The Christian Right embraced nationalism to advance their social agenda and we are where we are.

RFK Jr probably needs minders anytime he goes to a zoo or wildlife refuge because he might get the urge to have wild game bbq and grab what's on hand. Trump grabs women or girls for sexual reasons and RFK Jr grabs random wildlife because he is hungry.

There is still some debate as to whether or not Jr actually ate a dog or not.

Romney wasn't trying to be in charge of the humane society but RFK Jr wants to run the FDA. That's genuinely stupid.
If Mitt putting his dog on the car in 1983 is fair game to call out then Kamala sleeping with the guy that promoted her can be fair game as well.

Yeah, that ok to bring up. Im not sure why you are going for a gotcha right now. I don't think is anything close to disqualifying though.

I've spoken very positively of Mitt. I don't know why you'd expect an opposing campaign to not bring something like that up.

Wait there is a conspiracy that you won't ascribe to Kommie Kamala? I'm surprised.

                      • I never thought the leopard would eat my face:

After months of slowly backpedaling on the abortion issue, Trump and his campaign have launched a new phase of their efforts to distance the former president from the fall of Roe v. Wade — scrambling to paint Trump, who has taken credit for nominating the Supreme Court justices who overturned the landmark ruling, as a candidate with more moderate views on the issue than much of his party.

Trump’s recent statements have infuriated many Christian conservatives who sawa second Trump administration as an opportunity to further limit abortion access by fighting for a national ban and cracking down on abortion pills nationwide.

“God saved Trump from an assassin’s bullet. He did not save him to pivot on the issue of abortion and support a policy that leads to killing unborn children in the United States of America,” said Jason Rapert, a former state senator from Arkansas and the president of the National Association of Christian Lawmakers.

well if she ain't that bright I wouldn't worry about her overturning democracy and ushering in communism.
