No doubt, but isn't that the cost of doing business? The market/environment changes. Those are the risks one takes. Otherwise Blockbuster is well to sue Netflix for innovating a new digital content delivery channel. The Repubs should just counter and dump Trump as their nominee and elevate the Hillbilly. That will really screw the Dems.Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!
For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

Very good list. Dems need to be ready for these as the Trump team will be on blast to define Kamala before she has a chance to define herself.Originally posted by Moliere View Post
Some of her policy positions I find issues with:
- She co sponsored the green new deal
- she wants to ban fracking
- She wants to legalize abortion nationally without any restrictions
- we clearly disagree on the border with her overseeing record illegal crossings and I support increased immigration through work visas
- she’s for an increase in the corporate tax rate to at least 28% if not all the way to 35%
- she supports student loan debt foregiveness more so than Biden
- she supported extensive cuts to police budgets in some cities in California, so she’s sympathetic to the defund police movement
- she’s aligned with Bernie Sanders on Medicare for all.
I agree with her on some things, but I most of what we agree on doesn’t really matter.Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

Has she re-endorsed these policies already, or are these gathered from 2020 and inferred from being no. 2 in the WH? Serious question.Originally posted by Moliere View Post

Isn't the onus on her to clarify or update her positions? These were publicly endorsed by her. Those are her positions until she amends them.Originally posted by falafel View Post

And just think… Kamala Harris was Grandpa Joe’s accomplice in all of this. She meet with him often, saw the mental decline, and said/did nothing. Instead she downplayed his condition with the rest of them. She could have said something and got others to talk him into actually putting the country first before it was too late. She had a front row seat and just let it happen. And the Democratic Party rewarded her by making her the party’s nominee without even winning a primary vote. She will be responsible for putting Trump back into the White House.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View Post
Exactly. All this lavish praise of Biden for putting country first makes me want to barf. He stepped down at least a year too late. The damage has been done."If there is one thing I am, it's always right." -Ted Nugent.

It would have been dumb to undermine him publicly. Who knows what the conversations were like behind closed doors.

Go ahead and make that assumption I guess, but we should at least recall that most of those positions were outlined during her race to the left at the very beginning of the campaign. That was a time when you had to say something crazy to get noticed in the crowded democrat field. She still said them, but the context is relevant.Originally posted by USUC View Post

Blaming her for the border is funny. There is no universe where Harris outperforms expectations at the border. The WH knew the border was a nightmare, so they dump it on the VP to handle. If things go well, POTUS takes the credit. If things go poorly as expected, VP's fault. Let's not pretend that the WH is just going to cede all decision-making power and authority to the the VP on an issue like the border.Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. LOL... Grandpa Joe pre-recorded his life broadcast from the "oval office".
Fitting for his legacy.

Because she didn't "put the country first" and invoke the 25th amendment.Originally posted by beefytee View Post

How about the universe where Harris is not going on the news and telling everyone, including those planning on coming illegally across the border, that undocumented immigrant is not a crime? Oh wait... that's the universe we are in:Originally posted by falafel View Post

How about the universe where Harris tells immigrants to come for free health care? Oh... that is this universe too:
And think California already does that so maybe we should just bus them there.
But to her credit she did tell them "Do not come.":
Grandpa Joe made Harris the "Border Czar" and put her fully in charge:Originally posted by falafel View Post

That’s kind of the problem for her that the GOP is ignoring. There are plenty of sound bites they could use against her on these positions but they are fixated on the democrats nomination process. It’s her responsibility to outline her platform, which his usually done during a primary, so now she has to do that in a very short amount of time. So until she clarifies or flip flops on these positions, they are her positions.Originally posted by falafel View Post

We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. No, she just has the news media outlets flip flop for her... "She was never the border czar!"Originally posted by Moliere View Post

falafel must still be getting his news from these "flip flop" sources that think their viewers have the mind of Grandpa Joe. No wonder people (that actually have minds as "sharp as a tac") have stopped watching the news."If there is one thing I am, it's always right." -Ted Nugent.
