There is strong link with ADHD and children in particular and time spent outdoors. Symptoms greatly subside. This was noticed prior to the horrors of social media.
I'm off of social media and I don't miss it.
Anyway, I don't want to continue my thread jack but the twitter therapist guy is weird first for being publicly political. I don't want my clients feeling I have an agenda. I don't and shouldn't. I have seen what happens when others do that:Not with their religious, political or philosophical beliefs. That's a perfect recipe for being unhelpful.
It also harkens back to those lazily ghost written books by Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, Michael Savage, Bill O'Reilly, Anne Coulter etc where they branded liberalism as evidence of a mental health concerns. Ironically absent is acknowledged these people seem very unaware of their problems and clear ethical deficits.
I'm proud of having done plenty of therapy and haven't been unwilling to disclose, even though I know it'll bring judgment from some. It hasn't always been super helpful but sometimes it has been. Therapist are encouraged to their own "work" which means sometimes going to therapy. If they don't care of themselves arrogance, complacency and all sorts of things can derail them.
Also, I don't believe being liberal or conservative is immoral or unhealthy. Anything can be taken to an extreme.
