Not at all. I think it would confirm that he should withdraw, and having such a report in the file will cause considerable problems for him and his advisers if he doesn't. It also provides cover for advisers with any integrity to come forward with their belief that he needs to withdraw. The very fact that people are considering that press conference as a kind of test of fitness for office is very damning.
But the reason the movement against him keeps growing is the polls.
Americans watched the debate. Only the wonks care about the news conference yesterday.
Is the point here to win an election or to win the social media momentum within the Democratic Party?
In other words, is the point to remain the nominee or to win the election?
I heard Ruy Teixeira say today that Biden trails by 20 percent with working class voters. That's just shocking.
He agrees with a point I've made by the way that the college educated radical left has been at least for now liquidated as a political interest. The Brahmin left has disappeared from Europe and the US.

Biden is on course for a blow out loss.
