Biden reminds me a lot of my father when he started to go downhill. Dad would go through fits and starts and then things would be somewhat normal. Somewhat being the key word. I don't think Biden has mentally totally left the reservation but it's been obvious he's going through a decline. The symptoms of dementia or cognitive decline in general aren't static. There are often days of fluidity sandwiched between more common difficult days. I have no argument with the notions that Biden has declined over the years, that he will continue to decline, and that he should step down. If only he had done so a year ago--we'd have a much more vigorous and normal opposition to the gawdawful MAGA movement. Despite some major miscues by his administration, I think history would have treated Biden very kindly. Now, not so much.Comment
