There are downsides, I guess. 1. It's very expensive to live there as you might expect for a place whose public streets, subways, etc are cleaner and better kept than Disneyland. 2. If you are inclined to commit crimes you will probably get your ass whipped by a martial arts expert in a public setting. If the questions were about TikTok, that would be one thing. They weren't. They were about Chew himself, a Singaporean national and former officer in the Singapore Armed Forces. Even then, I wouldn't be too worried if the questions were actually relevant. Questions like, "hey, you were ByteDance's CFO before you became TikTok's CEO. What are the lines of information communication between the two companies?" This poll is kind of bolstering Fus' paranoia.
Biden needs to start acting unilaterally on the border, even if it's just for appearances. I guess he just needs to hope the economy keeps slowly moving in the right direction. Maybe pay lip service to the problem of crime that's hurting inner cities.
