I don't know they are both awful and worse than the reanimated corpse of Biden. It does look Vivek was grooming by the horrible Peter Thiel, who is behind authoritarians like JD Vance.

      • Anyone who supports DeSantis need to abandon the Libertarian label, because he is consuming power not protecting freedom. He is the ultimate nanny-stater.

You'd be surprised how many immigrants have a shit fit when I inform them they need to get the jab to get a green card. So many have been duped and brainwashed by various outlets and conspiracy theories. Truth be told, I kind of enjoy it because I love to watch their 'conviction' crumble once I tell them how much I charge to do a vaccine waiver, which success isn't guaranteed. I rely on the consensus of medical experts, who have devoted their entire lives and formidable intellectual focus to tell me what the risks are based on their expertise and all information available-- not some rando online who thinks whatever thing they imagine ought to be given equal consideration and deference.

Anyway, all the facts and statistics about the covid shots and their risks/efficacy are found here: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019...p-to-date.html

https://covid.cdc.gov/covid-data-tra...-effectiveness The vaccines carry about the same risk to your health as a birth control pill or a Tylenol, but DRASTICALLY lower your odds of being hospitalized/intubated/killed by covid.

You're buying vaccine criticism right after a range of republican politicians become anti vax. Hmm

Have some nuance dude. Also, where do you get off telling me where my feelings started to evolve? Is your measure when I decided to post my feelings in this thread? Good grief.

                • This cracked me up.

I recently saw a video of JB from the 2008 elections and it was kind of startling to see the difference. Time is cruel.

                    • What a crazy time it is in this country. In the aggregate, the country doesn't want Biden or Trump at all. But that's who we'll get, but for different reasons. There are a handful of alternatives vying for the GOP nomination. But the new GOP base wants nothing to do with them. They are are loyal followers of the Trump death cult. Alternatively, the Dem base is open to an alternative, but the Biden machine, much like the machine team 8 years ago, is too powerful to allow a competitor.

Biden can 100% lose to Trump again though. It's insanity that someone in the democratic party isn't throwing their hat in the ring.

                      • Looks like Bannon etc are attempting to control the Libertarian Party. I've long thought a lot of self-described Libertarians are actually just rightists, having little regard for social issues

Members of the Libertarian National Committee (LNC), the body that steers the national Libertarian Party (LP), engaged in talk of electoral collaboration with state-level Republican party affiliates, according to a leak of some internal communications, and made crude remarks about the LGBTQ+ community. Portions of the leak suggest closeness with a sympathetic political action committee (PAC) that may run afoul of Federal Elections Commission (FEC) regulations, according to a campaign finance expert.

The leak came a year after members of the far-right Mises Caucus (MC) won control of the LNC at the June 2022 Libertarian National Convention. Since then, LP membership and fundraising have dropped. Critics say MC affiliates’ edgy, far-right rhetoric – including anti-LGBTQ+ and pro-secession posts – has contributed to the fall. Internal documents show LNC members acknowledge the declines but cast most of the blame on fundraising software issues.

That might be the closest thing to an admission that he lost the election that we will ever get from Trump. In fact, I'll bet if someone explained to him that it can be interpreted that way, he would take it down.

                            • In the Trump era of politics, it’s amazing to me just how much I’ve forgotten of the utter shit show and abuses of the Trump presidency. This article jarred my memory of one of the more dangerous aspects of it, his push to politicize the military:

take a stroll down memory lane with Milley and others, and remember what kind of president many in the GOP want to have again.

Would a Trump supporter ever read this? How do they explain the endless list of former military leaders, members of his cabinet his staff, his lawyers, etc., who have all said the same about him? Every single one is lying?
