Perception is everything in politics. I'm no Trump supporter, but from my interactions with Trump supporters, they don't believe he is any worse than the "corrupt elite families of mainstream politicians." Us high information voters see the toxicity, the corruption, the incompetence of Trump world. But his supporters see inflation rampant, a mainstream media tipping the scales, the hypocrisy of the administrative state actively working against them, and the dementia riddled president. They'll gladly take Trump over that. They don't care about Jan 6th because they see that it was never a serious threat and was thwarted relatively easily.Originally posted by Maximus View Post
