Yeah could be. But I'm not sure everyone would buy that though. It wasn't only hard core maga people who voted for him yesterday and a lot of those folks don't vote in off year elections either.

Several of the migrants I’ve been speaking with say they would have voted for Trump themselves. Most are folks who crossed the border illegally in the last 2-3 years. They don’t believe Trump will deport them, because they are here to work and are “not criminals.”

How would someone who came illegally so recently have acquired citizenship? Legal immigrants can't usually get citizenship that fast. This sounds like a tall tale to me.

Sorry I misread. It said "would have' voted.

The DEI et al referendum also resonates, but like crime, are issues over which presidents have very little real administrative power.
Crime was also down. People were suckers for those whackamole culture war issues

Fact Check: The FBI released a revised report stating that crime was actually up by 4.9%.

FBI quietly revised 2022 crime data to show violent offenses rose rather than dropped

Former President Donald Trump has been hit with numerous “fact-checks” on the campaign trail that have cited FBI statistics to maintain violent crime is falling in America.

However, the bureau quietly adjusted its figures for 2022 in recent weeks — and the new numbers show that offenses actually ticked up overall.

The apparent stealth edit to the bureau’s statistics, first reported by RealClearInvestigations, shows that the raw number of violent crime incidents — including murders, assaults and rapes — rose to 1,256,671 in 2022 from 1,197,930 in 2021, an increase of 4.9%.

Either the FBI is staffed by a bunch of idiots for missing this in their original report or they lied. In either case, it is time to reduce the size of the FBI.

This is what I see happening as well. One of my biggest concerns is what happens in Ukraine. Another would be the pardoning of January 6 rioters.

I see him keeping his promises on Ukraine and the Jan 6 criminals. That will be a sad sad day.
                Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

He will do those things. His election is a huge win for Putin.

It looks like the GOP'ers will have control in both houses... If they don't use this opportunity to pass, for example, an immigration bill before the midterms then they deserve to lose bigly.

As for mass deportations he just has to give incentives for illegal immigrates to deport themselves and then become citizens the proper, legal way. Hopefully they come up with a good immigration bill and pass it.

But where did all these voters go?

Or perhaps these states don't have voter ID laws because they are... overwhelmingly Democratic who support not having ID laws?

I'll say it again but I'm sure you won't believe me, but Harris losing has very little to do with culture war issues. It was inflation and immigration. All the exit polls showed that those were the main issues along with the economy. Culture war issues were very small in those polls. Even abortion was just the main issue for 11% of exit poll responders.

Poeple have less buying power and they are tired of open/porous borders. This isn't hard to understand...unless you are a democrat.

Oh no, did the Democratic Party leave Bernie too, like they did with RFK Jr? Make sense that he is an independent.
