If I'm supposed to horrified at the thought that Puerto Rico and DC should be considered for statehood, I'm happy to disappoint you. That's pretty non-scandalous.
As for getting rid of the electoral college, I am sympathetic to that idea but it's not likely and wouldn't be easily done. Trump's actions are the best case for souring on the EC.
Also, Charlie Kirk is a grifter who increasingly spout fashy talking points. I'd bet he under the sway of the Kremlin like so many influencers are.
